This clearly shows relations positive and negative should be capped in some way. Maybe +/- 50. There should be no way to dig yourself such a deep hole.

If you have a halfway modern PC you can just download Virtualbox and install your copy of Windows XP in a virtual machine to play games that don't work natively.
