Are 227mm Rockets and ATACMS suppose to be subsonic throughout the flight(and targetable in the case of 270mm Rockets)? To me it's a little inconsistent with other weapons of the same class, say BM-30 and SCUD. Personally I do not mind ...

RE: SPEAR Capability 3 - A British AShM for the F-35B.

<t> So does anybody have a more reliable warhead weight for the SPEAR III? I don't believe it is possible to actually squeeze a 100kg warhead into a SDB II sized weapon WITH extra propulsion and fuel. It should be somewhere between Hellfire class ATGM and SDB II, if I were to make a guess, the ...

RE: Thread for DB3000 database problems, updates or issues

<t> This is not really a database issue. I've observed a glitch with radar sensor coverage cone display. Basically when I assign a 135° forward field of regard to a radar, the leftmost slice(bearing 292.5 to 315) is not displayed. This does not seem happen if this slice of coverage is not the first ...

RE: Thread for DB3000 database problems, updates or issues

<t> EO DAS sensor apppears to be nonfunctional as of build 411. I could see that some fixes were applied to build 410 version to allow it to better represent it's real world functionalities(although I'd say that its detection range and update rate is still inadequate). So what was the change between ...

RE: RUNNING POLL - gameplay features

<t> I'd vote for refined air target Pk calculation. It's not just about tweaking the Agility number, it's rather to go through a little more complex process and taking more factors into account. Say for example missile with TVC would degrade the effectiveness of agility WHEN the rocket motor is ...

RE: Thread for DB3000 database problems, updates or issues

Only LCS-1 class carries TRS-3D radar and only LCS-2 class carries Sea Giraffe. I'd imagine they are similar in functionality and capability, but they are not modeled as such in game. Most importantly Sea Giraffe does have surface search capability.

RE: Thread for DB3000 database problems, updates or issues

F-35s will actually carry tailored 426gal(reshaped 480gal tank) tank rather than any existing tank. Although it may not become available until after Block 3F. F-22 do carry 600gal tank, although maybe not on all 4 hardpoints.

RE: Thread for DB3000 database problems, updates or issues

<t> A few more things about F-35's sensor suite after checking out Baloogan Campaign Wiki: AAQ-37 EO DAS is falsely classified as LLTV sensor, while in reality it's an Imaging Infrared sensor. The 1x magnification for in-game stat seem to result in significantly inferior performance(as I observed ...

RE: Thread for DB3000 database problems, updates or issues

<t> Somehow the F-35 EOTS is not capable of air to surface detection? I found that out the hard way... The DAS only classified the surface contact as DDG at 3.2nm. I thought it would be something tiny to require me to get THAT close to ID.<br/>

I'm not sure if I'm clear about the signature issue. Of course detection is about both sensor and target signature, and I was talking about(what I see as) discrepancies in the latter. What I'm saying is basically that munitions like JASSM, JSOW ...

RE: Stickied thread for minor database issues?

<t> I don't know if this is the right thread since it is a bit generic, but;<br/>

It seems that those supposedly "stealthy" munitions don't really have lower signatures. Their RCS are generally similar to that of their "non-stealth" counterpart. I wonder if they need to be lowered a bit. If ...
