Re: At wits end with logistics

With sealed road, the optimal distance between truck stations is actually 15 hex but that shouldn't be your problem here.

You look to have a bottleneck. It may be a lack of logistic points, upgrading the logistic asset in lithohead may help.

You can't upgrade the unit probably because the ...

Re: what is happening ? units out of supply with surplus in everthing ???

Check the SHQ food tooltip. If food at the begining of the turn was almost equal to food sent, this is likely a production shortage.

Re: WELP! No ruins or metal deposits!

1. You can use spies to locate ruins to direct your expansion. They also allow to locate minor regimes... to also direct your expansion there. Some are easy to conquer, like farmers, be it at gunpoint or by a bit of smoothtalking.

Generally you want to expand along roads, unless you located ...

Re: SOS from n00b

Starfry is mostly spot on. How to fight requires a complex answer as it's broad so I'll add to it.

Firstly, recon is key. You will get more accurate odds and your troops will perform better, aiming for 400 is a good idea for important battles.

It's a good idea to attack repeatedly the same units ...

The asterix does not necessarily mean that the job use that skill, it can be a skill tied to the background (historical, or of the past jobs assigned to him by the player) of the leader and experienced leaders will end up spending xp to level these.

SHQ does not to my knowledge use diplomacy ...

Re: Don't understand logistics preview

Hi.

The rail points can only move between the station and the real head, or rather, only a small fraction, 10% IIRC, that's why there's few points going to the ruins.

To calculate the amount of truck points it needs to take into account the refocusing penalty, which is 25% base plus some more ...

Re: Population Hunger Despite Available Food and Logistics

It looks like evidence that emergency food does not draw from zone stockpiles.

Re: Population Hunger Despite Available Food and Logistics

I think you have a food shortage and your confusion comes from the fact that emergency food consumption does not show in the food stock tooltip.

This turn's consumption was equal to:
709 + 1183 + 950 + 1204 + 1250 + 388 = 5 684... This is equal to the start of turn stockpile.

Re: Combat score mods

I think that the current system is misleading in the actual impact in battle due to the fact that it leads to big numbers from multiplicative boni, however the final calculation requires big differences to lead to big shifts in outcomes.

Here it clearly has a big impact, however the opponent has ...

Re: Rail logistic points use

You need to spam railheads indeed as the frontline moves forward. For that reason I mostly use truck logistics as it is flexible and does not require to build expensive rails and stations.

The main upside of rails is that the longer range allows to reduce the effect on refocusing so you can get ...

Re: [1.26j3] 'Major War' Startegem

These stratagems allow to declare war when it's not possible to move troops there (you can't strategic move troops into war declaration on a regime that controls an entire island). How the rest is supposed to work, I don't know.

When minors take control of a public asset, they close it, ie. it takes IIRC 50 asset damage per turn until it is destroyed.

Re: Late Game Trade Issues

For the most part, private workers do NOT produce credits. As long as your city is reasonably large and you did not allow the private economy to own mines, then private income is proportional to worker salary. So if you want to reduce private income, progressively reduce worker salary. This will ...

Re: Late Game Trade Issues

There is a maximal storage for most resources (mostly metal has no limit), if it goes past this this either vanish into thin air (energy, ammo) or all the excess is forecefully sold.

Every regime has its own market. It's a single market per regime unless it's an Oceania game where you own multiple ...

Re: Leaders history background

It impacts 2 things.

The first one is the carreer: old leaders can have multiple backgrounds and a scout will pick one among a few backgrounds for its next job when generating his carreer. This is my personal interpretation of the game tables, this is not documented anywhere.

The second one is ...

1.26j3 Structural damage

The detailed report log does not match with the total structural damage.

My expectation is that the total structural damage to the right should be equal to that displayed in the bottom. The bottom log corresponds to the actual structural damage taken by the assets.

Re: Improving the Accessibility of Hi-Tech Components

Firstly, traders seem to always have hi tech. When the UI shows that traders have none available, it actually means that you don't have enough credits to buy any.

Secondly, in engineering, I only consider heavy industry to be worth building. Hydroponics probably shouldn't be available so early, it ...

Re: My dream - mod support for SE so we can have a W40k mod

I think the current modding support is neat and allows to do a lot, most of it is unexplored, although some things are impractical to do, particularly the modify existing tables tool, which is very powerful but was not very intuitive to use.

With that said, my own modding experience was that there ...
