1.9.5.8 Pirate Missions Bug

Playing as pirates: When the pirate missions list, the vertical bar on the left, is set to "Showing Available Missions" and "Showing All Mission Types" it does not show available defense missions, only smuggling and attack missions are shown.

DW is not a particularly resource intensive game. My current game uses a little over 1 gig of ram and peaks at 14% CPU usage with a i7-2600K. You'd see a more noticeable improvement by using a SSD drive for the save game, and game files than between either of those CPUs.

If you purchased the game from the steam, you get updates from steam automatically. The updates on this site are for those who purchased the game from other places, and thus have a serial number.

From what you have said it sounds like you have it set to show latest buildable designs, and the auto upgrade button made the design larger than you can build.

Related to explorers, I'm having the problem of them exploring systems without exploring the ruins when set to explore a sector. It has happened a number of times in my current game.

That is working as intended. If you have multiple wonders that give a develop bonus, only the highest bonus is applied.

How will tractor beams behave if a ship is set to standoff, but is trying to board a enemy ship? Will they push based on the standoff setting or will they pull to capture?

I believe the idea is to not just rely on fleets, but also have a bunch of automated frigates running around to hold off any attack long enough for the fleet to arrive.

Not me unfortunately :(, whoever it is, is going to have a hard time if the human alliance does declare war. The fact that both the humans and tairoshans are already at war probably makes that less likely.
