RE: Old Veteran Player is Impressed

<t> My Mini Review:<br/>
<br/>
I have always loved the Close Combat series since it`s first inception. The concept of being diversely tactical with intuitive simplicity was irresistible for a PC war-gamer who came from the board game culture of Panzer Blitz and Combat Leader.<br/>

Old Veteran Player is Impressed

<t> As a long time original Close Combat player from the very beginning I am impressed with the present version (107 update).<br/>
<br/>
I know it was buggy at first but now things are looking and playing real well. Combined arms coupled with appropriate timing in terms of execution, and a little ...

RE: Where is The GOG 107 update?

<t> O.K. The 107 update is up for the off-line installer on GOG.<br/>
<br/>
By the way, as an original player through the whole franchise from the beginning, TBF plays real well. I wasn`t sure about it at first but the more I play it the more I like it. Good stuff.<br/>

Where is the latest 107 patch for the GOG version? It`s been a month and no update for GOG users.

RE: Bocage German Performance

I would agree. The German MG teams seem pretty tame. At least in the Normandy campaign they do. The hedgerow LOS issues are a bit frustrating as well. But then for rifle teams they seem to work well when put on defense directly behind the hedge.

RE: Impressions thus far

<t> I`ve been a long time supporter of this franchise since day one. I have also applied to beta test and never been chosen (I beta tested the original IL2). Why should I pay now to be one? After reading all the issues and comments like, "Patches usually come thick and fast," why release it in such ...

RE: Canadian Operations

I imagine all the tools are there...yes? Not sure if I`m up for the learning curve since I am still learning the game. Anyway, good stuff. I appreciate your dedication and hard work which I am sure I take for granted at times.

Cheers.

Canadian Operations

<t> I was wondering if Panther Games has considered any Canadian Operations, possibly in the format of HTTR. Juno beach and the ensuing Canadian battles against the SS Panzer divisions have been neglected in my experience when it comes to wargames. It seems that the Canadians were often pitted ...

RE: My impression of CO: BFTB & HTTR

<t> I would second the first posters comments. I must say that "Command Ops" is a brilliant game. I have a lengthy history and interest with operational wargames. Problem being is, I don`t have the luxury of time to play them all as much as I would like even though I have sampled most of them.<br ...
