Thanks for sharing this. I learned it also the hard way, because i tried to defend Stadelhofen with the 2nd company :(

Not sure but i think i had the same experience in the first tutorial. If you check the box "enemy units always visible", you can see in the first turn, units of the warsaw pact move forward and backward on their way to the west.

Thats right, its about the Taskbar. In Red Storm i checked the in the Preferences (General Tab) the fullscreen mode and than there is no Taskbar. I attached a screenshot from Red Storm and Southern Storm. I hope that helps.
