I've playtested a good number of scenarios myself over the years and can't agree more with you. And once the game is published I can't stomach playing them in the final release the game just sits on the computer.

Just got my butt handed to me playing the Germans in The Witches Couldron. Good thing I kept all those options checked [:)] I'll have to figure out another approach to the scenario.

I bought Flash Point 2.08 on Steam today It runs great!! Two hours into A test of wills the Russians are finely able to push back my troops.....Lots of red crosses only a few blue.
