Re: A Better Manual Could Make This Game Much More Accessible

I made a point with AI because i belive company can use AI tool to rewrite manual and create simple tools for newcomers.

Main reason i am raising that question is that i belive that with that game we have a really gem here but it is pretty well hidden.

Eventually, I also began using AI tools ...

A Better Manual Could Make This Game Much More Accessible

Guys,

I love this game. I love history and complex strategy games, and I have enormous respect for the developers and the work they have put into this project. It is a beautiful and ambitious game that deserves much greater success.

However, I believe that the current manual, combined with a very ...

A new scenario in a short time.
Later on, more elements will be added to the game, because all additions made to subsequent games will be added to SCW. I can't say any more, but the game will be updated as the engine is polished and expanded. SCW is the first on a list, but it will not be ...

Re: What will be the next game?

I have been wondering how this game engine could handle early modern warfare — for example the Napoleonic Wars, the War of the Spanish Succession, the Seven Years’ War, or even the American Civil War.

I think the RSV unit concept and the game’s basic logistics model could work extremely well for ...

Re: Movement questions

This is actually beautiful. It reminds me of some of the best experiences I’ve had playing AGEOD games — playing cat and mouse with my opponents along the Hudson River in WIA, or spending entire campaign seasons in Rise of Prussia manoeuvring around the Elbe in 1756, 1757, and 1758.

Re: Movement questions

Is entering enemy hex with enemy unit there in movement operation mode not risky?
dont they get slaughtered?

Or maybe if unit moves in movement mode but with defensive posture it wont start fighting but just get a foothold in new hex to start fight another day?

Re: What will be the next game?

I think that World War One on the Eastern Front could be portrayed very well with this engine. There was a lot of naval action, some maneuver warfare, and some frontal fighting.

Perhaps even the whole of World War One.

The Balkan Wars of 1878 and 1912–1913.

The Russo-Japanese War.

The Russian ...

Movement questions

I am trying to understand some aspects of moving Land Combat Units (LCUs) around.

If I am moving my unit from one hex neighbouring an enemy unit to another hex neighbouring an enemy unit, is my unit somehow influenced by their zone of control? Or does it depend on the border of the hex they control ...

Re: Cutting away supply from enemy units

how do you project control on those hexes to SE of Nationalist unit?

You wrote that he can move there. But will that move be longer then moving to NE because over there is no projection of your power?

Re: Cutting away supply from enemy units
