Re: If possible what is the best option to run WITP AE on a M Series Mac?

I'm using UTM on Mac Sonoma, M1 Mac Studio. UTM is free. I loaded Windows 11 ARM edition, uses 4GB ram only. WITPAE so far has run great on the M1 via UTM. Windows 11 Arm has it's own x86 translation built in.

RE: Low CAP vs High SWEEPS test #1

<t> The diving on the lowest group would certainly make sense to give much better results potentially, assuming it's limited to diving on a single group. That's a long dive too. The highest defending group could be sitting there moving straight ahead level and watch the planes just dive by and blast ...

RE: HQ terminology question

<t> So, one question based on what I have said and what MAY be true (so asking)... Command HQs sometimes perform (substitute as) a Corps HQ if none if in range. I am curious as to what I am seeing might be the command HQ performing as an AIR HQ in absence of one perhaps?<br/>

RE: HQ terminology question

<t> Yes, SW PAC is a command HQ, I agree. However, it's command radius is 9, and, patch 1 or 2 extended the affects of an AIR HQ to double the command radius, but at 50%. And, I get benefit from having SW PAC in Townsville, thus my question. As soon as SW PAC arrived in Townsville, I got more ...

HQ terminology question

<t> There is this statement in the manual, some of which I know was later slightly adjusted such as how far command radius bonus extends:<br/>
<br/>
"The best Air HQ of the same command as the base which is within range can add its command radius to the number of groups that can be administrated ...

Where do you see that in stock scenario 4 (Guadalcanal)? Mine shows cargo, troop, fuel capacity of 0.

RE: Medium Bombers, Airfield Size

<t> Regarding float planes, dot bases, and AVs... So, as the allies, I have an AV without any cargo capacity, the Curtiss in Guad scenario, disbanded at a dot base. So, the AV itself cannot have any supplies on board. I seem to be able to use search missions from the dot base just fine of course. I ...

Medium Bombers, Airfield Size

<t> In the manual, it says that there are penalties for certain bomber sizes and certain airfield sizes. For a medium bomber, it appears you want at least a size 4 + (bomb load / 6500) rounded down. So, a B-26 Marauder is a medium bomber of course. Looks like it can carry 6 500lb bombs, so, I ...

<t> The new instructions and wrapper are forthcoming once I come back from Ohio. I have WITP AE, Intel Monkey, and, WITP tracker all running just fine. <t> Pretty new! On my 5th game. 2nd PBEM. Played Victory in the Pacific from SPI, the monster game. Used to own around 50 or so board wargames.
