RE: 3.0.2 Conquest phase crash

you are of course correct... It must have been the taking of Algiers was taken in an earlier impulse. Moving the ships did nothing to solve the issue. It is a conquest problem. Now I need to find out how to alter the Home country of France..

RE: 3.0.2 Conquest phase crash

Perfect! Thanks for this. This will give me enough to try and shift these units to another port and try try run through again. Very much appreciated.

RE: 3.0.2 Conquest phase crash

<t> I am not sure but it may have something to do with the stuck OOS ships in Oran?? If I could move these prior to the crash it may halp... Looking at the save game file I cannot work out how it locates units. So for example "thens" is located at hex 72,50 but its save data has no mention of this ...

RE: 3.0.2 Conquest phase crash

<t> Frustrating... no matter what I do or how I replay it...This crash happens in the conquest phase. Even if the Italian unit does not move for some reason Oran falls to them in conquest phase, Algeria gets conquered and fatal crash/end of game. I really do love this game but after so many years ...

RE: 3.0.2 Conquest phase crash

Yes it was the French home country... Attached is a slightly earlier save if it helps at all? I guess my only hope here is to go back to an earlier save an not capture Algeria.... Thank you for looking though

3.0.2 Conquest phase crash

Good day,
Would really appreciate some help on the attached save that has locked up after Algeria was conquered. The conquest phase runs, Algeria surrenders, then nothing... [:(]

RE: Game crash after over stacked port.

It seems to be happening again. Always when a port is over stacked. This seems to be the result of making ship rebase when the only option is to over stack... it then tries to destroy down and crash time

Game crash after over stacked port.

<t> Game saved attached. After the last German combat, the game then phases to "over stacked port" for the french (not sure if even this part is correct). After ships have been destroyed down to the port limit the game is just stuck in the French turn and will not unlock the green button to allow ...

RE: Cohen vs Enrico - AAR nr.4 (Alas Again Restarting!)

<t> Hi all,<br/>
Still loving this AAR and the format it has been presented in. Thanks for the hard work and know it is read in detail and thoroughly enjoyed. Agree that this is looking like a good final fight as although it isn't looking good for the USSR, there are still several years left to ...

RE: Cohen vs Enrico - AAR nr.4 (Alas Again Restarting!)

The AAR continues to fascinate and is well poised. What is the situation on the Russian border? Is there any chance of a surprise attack by the USSR soon?

The Italian Spear

<t> Hi all,<br/>
recently in a game I played the Italians made a east to west move conquering Greece (then aligning Yugoslavia), Cyprus, Syria, aligning Iraq, aligning Persia, and then capturing southern Russian oil resources. I nicknames this the Italian spear for want of a better name, but ...

O chit usage is always a tough one. I like to use them early as I find the battles can drag out otherwise, and the quicker the territory is conquered the more BPs you are getting early on. After all the Us entry penalty has already ...

Agree. The USSR have pulled a fast one and not paid too higher US price. Looks like they could make a bit of progress/mischief while Germany is occupied. I guess Japan has to pull resources from China now..I forget if they have much left in MAnchuria.

Excellent.. I kept looking at the last AAR from my favourites and was upset at the lack of progress.... but fortunately I found the new one to keep me happy [:)] Keep up the work fellas...it is appreciated!

RE: AllenK vs Mayhemizer III: Oil be back.

Have to agree about the limited supply rule. Makes expansion very difficult, especially with the oil rules you are playing. My poor head wouldn't be able to cope [:D]

Anyway looking forward to more of this AAR soon

RE: Naval Overrun Interception

<t> Sorry to bring an older issue back to the front, but I am having point 1 happen to all the naval interceptions when a port is overrun. I am using the latest release patch (4.5?) but not any beta versions. As soon as I have intercepted about to ships the game try to initiate normal naval combat ...

RE: AllenK vs Mayhemizer III: Oil be back.

<t> It always seems to me that subconsciously when playing the naval engagements we all get a more "just one more will do it" mind set... Its the gambler in us that says, we had a good result maybe we can get another, when we all know deep down the dice will bite us on the backside at some point ...
