RE: Version 3.06 become v3.10

Oh my goodness, I just popped in here on a whim and what a surprise to learn that this fascinating game is STILL being worked on! COTD is one of the most interesting and innovative wargames I have ever played, and I look forward to this new update with great eagerness!

Supply is allocated per HQ and there's an option to include subordinate HQs. So you could set the supply level for the entire army in one go.

That's good to know. Still hoping to pick this one up at some point.

<t> I have not (yet) bought for the following reasons, in ascending order of importance:<br/>

* price (it is what it is and I understand why these kinds of games cost so much, but it's a factor for me personally at this time)<br/>
* smallish number of scenarios<br/>

RE: No corps strength?

That is an excellent supposition. I am playing on "reports only," as you no doubt gleaned from my other post in the forum. I only received one actual "textual" report after Turn 1, when I expected many. I guess I should read the manual again, as I clearly did not absorb it all the first time.

RE: Reports only?

Ok, cool. I didn't actually receive any reports after the turn...I hope I set it up properly. The game launch screen makes it seem like the fog options, etc. are changeable even on loading a save game. Is that correct?

I am still not allowed to post links, but they also have "A Detailed Account of the Battle of Austerlitz" available for free. It is a considerably longer read, though.

Reports only?

<t> So, I have definitely selected "reports only" in my game options, but I can still see all my counters moving around when I click "End orders," and I can see them after they have stopped, and I can see the enemy as well. Is this working as intended? How is this different from the other fog levels ...

Yeah, the resolutions printed on the buttons don't seem to correspond to how many pixels they actually end up taking up. Weird.

<t> I have a 3200 by 1800 (laptop) monitor, and the game will only allow me to select a subset of its available resolutions. Most of them simply aren't clickable from the launch menu. The largest one that is is 1440 by 900, which seems to actually take up almost my whole screen excepting a ribbon on ...
