RE: Damn The Torpedoes - Detected Right off The Start

Damn, you did it in 2 tries?
It took me about 7 or 8 due to the 25 Backfires raining Vampires on my convoy that couldn't be intercepted by the RIMS.

RE: MAD detection of subs

<t> Can't get too specific. Did some testing around Nanoose Bay. MAD detection is overly generous in this game.<br/>
There's a reason why the Ch-148 isn't outfitted with a MAD, aside from the fact Canada's not too concerned with Nuclear powered subs lurking off our coasts anymore.<br/>
Aside from ...

RE: MAD detection of subs

<t> If this was realistic, that a P3 would get a MAD contact at a sub at any depth, well I don't think the Navies of the world would be spending as much time and money in ASW as they are.<br/>
<br/>
In the game; a 30x30mile patrol box of a P3 with a loiter time of 3hours would detect a sub every ...

RE: Diesel Submarines

MAD is a great search tool for aircraft. It will pickup deep subs if it overflies one, which is often the case if you setup a patrol box.

RE: MAD detection of subs

<r> <br/>
I'd like to hear some input from the Developers on their MAD model. Short of that are there any submariners that can shed some light on this?<br/>
Yes surface conditions, speed of the detecting platform, alignment of the submarine to the magnetic field lines, composition and size of the ...

RE: MAD detection of subs

<r> This is the moment of detection where the P3 Orion detects with the MAD the 1100 foot deep sub.<br/>
How is this possible?<br/>

RE: MAD detection of subs

[FIXED] MAD detection of subs

I've been using the Scenario Editor to check on MAD detection.
P3 Orion can detect subs down to their deepest depth>700feet.
This must be broken.
MAD detection is inversely reduced by distance squared. There's no way it would be able to pickup a sub at this depth.

[AWAITING INFO] screen resolution

Hi, I don't see any in game options to change the resolution. Is this possible?
Thanks
