Re: Returning, OMG, 4K is so much better now.

Gaming! Ever since Atari 2600! My favorite is Sims and VR. I decided to show more of the "gaming" room. It has two VR equipped motion platforms, one for racing sims, one for flight sims. Now I have my gaming table setup for tactical sim (CMO). The hours putting into CMO now, oh my goodness.

The ...

Re: Returning, OMG, 4K is so much better now.

Actually, thanks to President Trump! World events are showing how technology advantages are making a world of difference. But it so inspired me to give CMO another go, and wow, I'm so happy I did. CMO still going strong surprised me. At my age, to feel like a kid at Christmas, it is unreal.

I own ...

Returning, OMG, 4K is so much better now.

I'm turning 70 this year, bought Harpoon from Electronics Boutique on it's release in 1989. Loved it, bought every iteration since. But CMANO kind of disappointed me, didn't play the same, Mission Editor drove me nuts, wanted more manual control, quit 10 years ago. Two years ago I tried again, but ...

<t> I have all the Panzer Campaign games and love them all. Almost all the east front games are now "gold" level, where all titles are being planned for gold versions to update the tool bars, graphics, etc. A new Panzer Battles (south front) title is also just around the corner to be released.<br ...

Crash on Large Scenario

Playing "europecowVer61", very large, lots of units. Latest 4.0.1.23 installed.

Usually play for hours and no issues, and have played a lot of scenarios. On turn 54 of this one. Twice it crashed when AI took over. I've attached the crash log.

<QUOTE><s>[quote]</s>What Bob and Ralph have done in the latest release is nothing less than fantastic. But there are still logic issues and even if all of the logic were cleaned up it is still an IGOUGO turn based game with all that that implies.

RE: In Hex Rivers Revisited...Yet Again.

If I got revisited as much as this subject does, I'd move.

I don't get it, the rivers as implemented do not bother me in the slightest. TOAW IV plays well, and I have a great time playing it, even with these in hex rivers! How can that be?

RE: Attrition Divider stuff

<t> The term casualties in TOAW, or any war game for that matter, is always one of contention. Are they truly "destroyed", or just reflect dead, wounded, captured, and battle weary? I don't know if the results are too bloody, I know a lot of it is abstracted.<br/>

RE: Bocage Hell - 1944

Larger monitor and higher resolutions will change your mind fast.

Some of us play 2D Huge only. The 2d Large is not very large at all and almost unplayable on higher resolutions, but still a good view to get a broader view of the situation.

RE: Do Helicopters Slow Down AI Play?

<t> I don't think this has anything to do with AI, but rather long distance travel and the animation. <br/>
<br/>
It seems there is a threshold of how long the move takes. If you speed up the animation, you can avoid the hang/black screen impacts.<br/>

RE: Naval Improvements in old updated scenarios

<t> Good point, but I'm okay with the backing off on attrition. I mean, it impacts both sides and extends the use of naval forces. Also, the results don't seem that odd, some get sunk, some get damaged, and given a chance to pull back.<br/>
