RE: Opponent near Mogilev on turn 2

There is a lot of defensible river bank south from X80 Y59.

You need to do what you're most comfortable doing.

RE: Opponent near Mogilev on turn 2

<t> Hi y'all.<br/>
<br/>
I don't consider myself to be much more than a novice at WitE, but here are my two cents.<br/>
<br/>
I think it is worth while for the Russians to put up a fight along the upper Dnepr River (from the bend at X80 Y53 to X81 Y69). <br/>

The major rivers are pretty ...

RE: Extreme newbie question

<t> If you leave a HQs (alone) adjacent to even an enemy hex it can be automatically relocated, even if an enemy unit does not move next to it. It will be highlighted in RED if it is at risk of this. And, if an enemy unit moves next to it, it will be auto-relocated.<br/>

<t> I'm still a newbie -- so pretty well qualified to comment.<br/>

If you don't have the expansions, I would recommend "Road to Minsk" and "Road to Smolensk".<br/>

Road to Minsk seems too short to be worthwhile -- but at three turns it's a minimal investment of ...

RE: Thoughts: Simulate the Russian offensive activity in early war, you earn AP by attacking.

<t> If the premise is the early Soviet counter-attacks were a mistake and Soviet players should be forced to make these mistakes, I agree with the poster that the German player should be similarly hamstrung. In particular, Hitler's insistence that the Germans not retreat during the Soviet counter ...

RE: Hello. I'm new to WitE and I am seeking some advice ...

I started out trying to wade thru the manual.

Then I just started playing.

I play the Soviets on "Road to" scenarios.

One of these days I'll learn how to attack. (sigh)

RE: Looking for Soviet opponent to help me get back into the game

Aditia,

I am an experienced gamer, but quite new to WitE. I'm willing to play Soviet. Would prefer smaller scenarios.

RE: Newbie PBEM Questions

Well that sucks.

Thank you again for taking the time to answer.

How do you guys communicate during games? Agree to PM each other?

My opponent doesn't look to be active on the forum, not sure he'll pick up on a PM.

Newbie PBEM Questions

<t> Howdy!<br/>
<br/>
I'm playing my first WitE PBEM game (Road to Minsk) and I have a couple of questions.<br/>
<br/>
1) When I downloaded the game, it did not run my opponent's move. It just had the situation at the end of his move. Is there a way to make it play or replay the opponent's move ...
