There is a difference between tracking the aircraft as air controller and as a SAM operator. Contrary to that F-117 was special in that way that Iraqi and Yugoslav air controllers were not able to track them reliably (if at all). But SR-71 and A ...

RE: What is considered an authoritative source?

<r> I just ran across another source. This is from an additional interview. Please check the video. Once again, this is from an SR-71 pilot. Again, the video and interview discuss the purposeful stealthing of the craft, and like the original video, the pilot specifies a 1 Sq. meter RCS. I'm not sure ...

RE: Call to scen authors: Improved tutorials

I'd just like to chime in and thank Gunner98 for the missions as well as the CMANO team for adding it in as a campaign to the base game. I'm only up to mission #4, but this has been a real eye opener for me, and very fun as well!

I found another interesting article on stealth/RCS. This one from computational modelers. Though it doesn't have numbers for the SR-71, it does list a number of other aircraft. I'm sure it would be useful to compare this analysis vs other sources.<br/>

You are putting words in my mouth. I saying the same ting you are. There nothing quantitative in the pilot statement. Its like saying I got my trucks weight down to the same as my Ford Focus. Its all relative. From 11 to 2.5. OK, but is it 3.5 ...

Yes, it's a 58 minute presentation/interview. It was recently posted though. It's called SR-71 Overview by Col. James H Shelton, Jr USAF (ret.), and was posted on Sept 12, 2016.

RE: Homerun, 1956 Scenario questions from a noob

Thanks much for the reply. I had thought of changing the MiGs, but I didn't want to "cheat" per se if this is the way the mission is supposed to be.

I sent a PM to the author, who appears to be Patmanaut.
