RE: Surprisingly, your army suffered no losses ...

<t> There are strategies to avoid the Russian winter and still accomplish a successful invasion. Conquer Ottoman, park in Moldova (only 2 spaces away from Moscow), and either use a 2nd army to invade Leningrad by sea, or march directly from East Prussia or Poland. Or, invade via Leningrad with ...

RE: Surprisingly, your army suffered no losses ...

My suspicion is it happens more often, and more-offensively, in the two higher difficulty levels.

Sadly, my well-being gets too affected if I try to play anything but Corporal. A grown man, screaming in anger at a computer screen is not cool to see! Grrr.

I saw this message after leaving 2 full French armies, including Napoleon, inside Russia after November, and even the computer was surprised to calculate that I had lost no units due to the Russian winter!<br/>

I would like to say I could comment, but I avoid the upper levels precisely because I hate hate hate the Attrition/Foraging cards. I lose my mind when I get them thrown at me when I have been extra-careful not to lose units in battle. You spend time and upgrade cards getting the perfect ...

Load up on navy when you get opportunities for recruits, plus cards like Early Class, Naval Stores, navy in Holland, etc. Wait for Storms and Mutiny cards, and then combine and move your fleets from Brittany against the smaller British fleets to free up the trapped smaller fleets ...

What kind of funding are we talking here? Just curious, but maybe not only.

Considering the mileage this game has given me, I would hate to see it abandoned. :(

RE: 624 to 12, but fun is the real point

Here's another gem.

502 to 0. Must move troops from Egypt to Portugal on first turn, then survive at least one counterattack until you can reinforce it.

2.5 years to kill off Britain... superb! :)

I disagree. I have found myself rapt hours on end playing this game.<br/>
