Questions: Campaign North Africa 41-43

I have a few questions regarding this campaign:
1) Supply Units - How do these work? Should I move them? Should I have put one in Tobruk?
2) Tobruk Minefield Strongpoints - How do these work? Are they difficult for the Germans to defeat? Not sure how best to use them - or do I just let "it" happen ...

In the large campaign, is it reasonable to match/achieve the historical timeline of advancements for France and Italy provided competent play and OOB on normal setting against the AI?

Will sub that is in a patrol zone leave the patrol when it is low on fuel? And if it does, once it refuels will it return to that patrol zone? I am referring to human operated sub patrols.

Thanks for the input on the ASW this helped. Seems to be making a difference.

Now if I could allied subs to do something other than sit by and watch ships to pass over them.
