RE: How is the AI?

<r> <QUOTE><s>[quote]</s>I find Polonthi's recommendation<br/>
<br/>
"So if you are a casual wargamer then it's a great game, looks amazingly nice, the AI is doing well for that level. If you are an experienced wargamer like me then give it a pass. Not worth the money."<br/>

RE: What are these numbers?

Another newbie question; when I click on properties there are often 2 numbers, the first one plain and the other-usually 1 higher - in brackets.
What does this mean...?

RE: Research and production priorities as Axis?

<t> It all depends on your warplans off course.<br/>
If you are going for Barbarossa, like I'm trying now in my first game, I'd say concentrate on advanced tanks and ground attack first.<br/>
Second should be industry, production, logistics and intelligence to get staying power.<br/>
Advanced ...

RE: Alternate turns?

<r> <QUOTE><s>[quote]</s>Guys lets not get bogged down in this. For one I am on turn two German turn (not my first campaign.....got my butt handed to me my first one). It is September 15, 1939. My first turn, obviously was Sep 1, 1939. The British took its turn on Sep 8, 1939. Now, if I remember ...

RE: Alternate turns?

<r> <QUOTE><s>[quote]</s>The editor has options to set alternate turns on or off. Turns may be set to be seasonal or fixed length. The original SC1 had alternating seasonal turns, shorter in summer and longer in winter. That provided an interesting pace of operations. Personally, I prefer ...

RE: SC3 vs Hearts of Iron III - Opinions

<t> HOI III and IV are both nice for the reseach and production game. Their AI is terrible and that really spoils the fun for me combatwise (that and the hundreds of insubordinate brigade size land units running around, the almost non existant air units etc...)<br/>
So far SC3 seems to have an ...

RE: Alternate turns?

<r> Thanks for the feedback guys!<br/>

<QUOTE><s>[quote]</s>
I'm confused -- what does "alternate" turns mean in this game, exactly? I take my turn on Sept 1, and my opponent takes his turn on Sept 8? Or does it just mean I Go, You Go, both on Sept 1?<br/>
<br/>
Also, I noticed something in ...

Alternate turns?

<t> Hi Everybody!<br/>
<br/>
Love the game! A bit puzzled why the turns are alternate; this speeds up the game a bit to much I think.<br/>
Was mightily confused for a while too when I noticed I always skipped a turn before I finally found out that I did not get to play every turn but only ...
