RE: Syria, Persia

After Persia, you can also open a new front with Rommel in the Caucasus. I had a hard time breaking the Soviet lines there, but the defense folded very quickly after the DAK stormed Baku

<t> In my new campaign (Axis), its September 1940 and UK has Advanced Aircraft 3 and is 20% toward lvl 4. I noticed when my fighters near Bruxelles got shreded from 10 to 3 in one turn. RE: "Sudden Death" - Axis Major Victory 28 September 1942

You can go into the settings and uncheck the Victory scripts. That way they won't fire and you can keep playing.

RE: Looking West : invasion of the USA

<t> With this Long Range Amphib issue, I might take another approach. Going "classic" until 1944, and then invade England after repelling Overlord. <br/> <br/> I will still invest heavily in naval/subs to take out the UK and US fleet early. And during Barbarossa take Iceland and Greenland as forward...

+1, I can't wait to see my panzers rolling through Washington.

I just took London in October 1940 but the amount of MPPs I spent for this is staggering, I don't really know how I'll deal with the Soviet...

Looking West : invasion of the USA

<t> Anyone invaded the US yet ? <br/> <br/> I've been playing both campaigns on both sides, with very classical/historical strategic choices. <br/> So for my next game I want to explore a big what if. RE: Anyone else finding the AI Italian Navy invincible?

<t> I agree with the 1942 takedown of Regia Marina. Before that, the British fleet in the med should stay in port. Get those juicy upgrades and you will make shortwork of it. Send some reinforcements from Britain, add the American fleet and you will have quality and quantity. This fleet can at the s...

RE: What have you used SF for?

<t> SF are basically naval infantry. The capacity to embark from anywhere is nice when you use them as a decoy during a landing. For Overlord I send SF in the Netherlands, it distracts the ennemy. They also damage moral a lot, can be useful against a very cheerful unit, especially when planes arent ...

RE: 653H Mod

Ok I have my first question ; how does it play when the Soviet has its 125 corps + 40 guard corps on the map ? Frontline is continuous ?

Also : would you recommend playing Axis or Allies (or both) on your mod ?

RE: Overlord AI suicide ?

<t> A suggestion for this scenario. <br/> <br/> On the first turn of Overlord, the Allies AI should use its strategic bombers on Rennes, le Mans and Rouen. That way, the Axis cannot bring reinforcements in the area on the first turn. <br/> <br/> As of now its quite easy to bring all your elite troop...

RE: Naval combat - a shame...

I agree its maybe too powerful. Right now the best way to win naval combat is to use a bait and then deploy a net of ships for the ennemy to run into. Very effective with subs + kriegsmarine

RE: Playing Allies vs. Playing Axis

Giving XP to the AI in the early game also gives it an invisible boost in MPP, since it won't suffer as many losses in Poland and France.
