RE: windows 10 compatibility testing 2

Many thanks. Getting late in my part of the world so not really in the mood to deal with Microsoft! Will bumble around tomorrow with a fresher head. Again thanks.

RE: windows 10 compatibility testing 2

<t> I hoped this guide and its wonderful set of images would save the day, but no! I am running Windows 10. 64 on an Alienware 17inch screen. Get the game but it is tiny and changing resolutions does nothing. How can you change the size? I find it odd as ‘Cross of Iron’ works fine, which I presume ...

RE: Is it worth it??

It could just be my graphic controller (Intel HD Graphics) but the info bar is cut off at the bottom if everything set to 800 x 600. Will toy around with it later as it is beginning to pee me off! Thanks for your help.

RE: Is it worth it??

<t> Damn! Your're good! Thanks.<br/>
<br/>
OK, Got it. If I leave my screen at its normal of 1920 x 1080 the game comes up as a small square that would fit twice, with room to spare. If I now change my screen to 800 x 600 all the bottom menu - clock, etc disappear! It didn't the first time I tried ...

I don't have the 5.50.14b upgrade - can't seem to get it, just get sent to main page!

RE: Is it worth it??

<t> Well, had a bit of a fight to get it to run - I would have been totally lost without zakblood and the advice on the pink and green theme, so not easy. Once running - well, image just so tiny, therefore had to switch monitor to 800 x 600, which although easy, is still a pain and means plotting ...

RE: Suggestions PLEASE READ DEVS

<t> March 2017:Everyone seems so interested in screenshots or should there be medics etc etc but one very important area I can't see being covered or questioned is the post-game result/feedback which I hope Matrix have got covered but I would like to know a little of what they have in mind.<br ...

Is it worth it??

As I wait, endlessly and possibly pointlessly, for The Bloody First I wondered about downloading Longest Day but bug fixes that don't seem to have been fixed and a still massive price for something that may not fully work on Windows 10 makes me wonder: is the game worth it?

RE: Anyone artistic?

<t> What you already have is actually quite effective - just stretched on my screen! In the picture they are doing various things and using various objects as well as fighting so it's a matter of finding similar images from various timescales and nationalities, of maybe the three main services - air ...

RE: Close Combat - The Bloody First, dates update

<t> Darn it! Couldn't have put it better! Thanks Saturnian. Yes, the 2d version was never made fully fit for purpose. For example, even in GTC, a tank can see (how?) and eliminate a hidden bazooka from an incredible range. I also believe a bazooka/panzerfaust can still be fired from a building ...

Normada_Firefox, and possibly others, rather misread what I wrote: “If Gateway had been reassessed and the next game born from it had a new engine, AI sorted etc…” <br/>

Please notice the phrase ‘new engine’ – which I fear N_F must have missed as he keeps ...

RE: Close Combat - The Bloody First, dates update

<t> “Recently we have all been busy re-assessing the requirements for Close Combat “ Re-assessing, in July 2016, something once earmarked to come out in 2014? <br/>
<br/>
Matrix should have done some very serious ‘re-assessing’ when Gateway to Caen came out and was found wanting: tank speeds half ...
