Yes, you can.

Just install the original version and then copy and paste the results into a new folder, create shortcuts to your desktop from that new folder to run that old version.

Then update the game to have the latest version.

I don't believe that feature has been around since 2.01, since around 2013.

Either way, you can still randomly generate maps by selecting the battle generator, select a large size battle and adjust the map based on the selections. There no sliders, but you do have the options of what ...

Will the Battle Generator still be functional?

When you open the map editor, there are all the existing maps.

But , more importantly, there is a folder called "Master Maps". These provide you with a bunch of large historical maps that you can resize to whatever you want.

That's way old. I remember 1.03; 1.04; 2.01 and most current 2.02. I still have the 1.04 loaded with the second copy 2.02.

I keep the 1.04 for nostalgia sake...LOL!

Sad to say, the battle generator has been dropped. We have more important priorities, not the least of which is to pump out new games and new game content (DLCs).

Driving one more nail into the coffin: it is impossible to auto-generate the CSEE/SAI for random battles.

Well, some progress has been made. But not nearly enough.

You still can't edit and save an existing scenario.

You still can't change the lengths of existing scenarios when selecting one.

There is still no real scenario editor, just a partial one.

There is still no unit editor.
