Report it as a bug with a savegame. They are supposed to be removed when loosing the last planet.

There might be a chance they can resurge if the planet rebels. But generally taking all planets should be a death sentence for the empire. You should even gotten any (or most) remaining mining ...

How to eliminate a faction ?

Folks, need some advice on how to eliminate a faction - or if it is even possible.

I have fought a couple wars against a faction and in the last war finally conquered the last of their colonies. However, the diplomacy screen shows they still exist (I can interact with them) and shows their 'home ...

Dang! I don't remember seeing that setting.

Turned it on and the AI has built a LOT of escorts & tankers so I'm hopeful it'll get around to topping off the fleets once everything else is sorted. Thank you very much!

Is the AI allowed to build ships at all?
How are your ship levels relative to what is budgeted?
Just guessing that either of these may be limiting top up of a specific fleet.

Hi Erik...

I have 'latest Active Design for Role' selected for each ship type/class (ie frigate, destroyer, etc.) for each of my templates.

The individual ship types/hulls are AI designed and the AI controls the retrofit (in design screen).

Tactical settings are:
23% fuel range
Neutral
Normal ...

fleet ship management

Folks,

I need a bit of help, please.

I have created fleet templates & 'assigned' the templates to several fleets. I have also set the fleet ship management policy setting to automated. Unfortunately, the AI isn't topping off my fleets. What have I missed?

A good habit to develop is to regularly check the Exploration tab for the status of your explorers and the Construction Ships tab under the Ship Construction tab for the status of your constructors. Good morning!

I just finished a 3hr session w/ no crashes - I noticed only 2 brief pauses (1-2 seconds) during the entire 3hrs. :)

Yesterday the game was like a slideshow literally and would crash every 5 minutes (not trying to be mean, just descriptive) - no crash logs were ever generated.

Thanks Scott for all the time and effort you put into this. As a fairly inexperienced player, it will undoubtedly help me get more enjoyment out of DW2 - I'll try to remember to name a ship class after you! :)

Sometimes rebooting works, some times clearing all cookies works, sometimes nothing works. Getting to be a bit of a PITA frankly.

I like buying from the developers assuming you also get a Steam key. That way the developers (hopefully) get more $$$ in their pocket and I can still add the game to Steam and take advantage of those conveniences if I like, or just install stand-alone.
