Turn 38 Allied Ground

March 18, 1944.

This post and the next is dedicated on hex eight. Ironically, it took eight attacks to take it. Does seem like a theme. Ha. But instead of just showing one part of it I wanted to show the whole thing to give a feeling of how sometimes a single hex can become the center of attention ...

Turn 38 Allied Ground

March 18, 1944.

Fifth hex. This was a typical battle. However, I need to point out that the two hexes below (south) of this hex were not advanced into by Axis so Allies were able to move in at no cost this movement phase.

This post covers the first four hexes taken by Allies. All were attacked only once.

Turn 37

March 11, 1944.

Much to cover for this turn. However, the big takeaway is that Mr. Bimmler has decided to have Germany withdraw north on Italy. This results in Rome being an open city. But the Axis are not far away; building a new defensive line.

Victory points for turn were negative 12. And I do ...

Turn 36 Italian Contact Line

March 4, 1944.

I am trying to think how to convey the turn without turning it into dozens of pictures. So what I think I will do is only take one picture per hex regardless of how many attacks. Unless it is important. That way attacks will not be lost in post after post for the same turn. Failed ...

Turn 36 German phase

March 4, 1944.
