Try a piece of software called handbrake (handbrake.fr) for the conversions you can do multiple files all at once.

Forgot to mention I have had no issues playing several Axis games this just appears to be happening on the Allied campaign

I have been trying to play the allies on version 1.08. I have tried the the 39 and 40 scenarios but as soon as I try and deploy the Soviet Engineer unit I get FAILED(draw_unit_layer_to_buffer): Unhandled exception error come up and then a CTD.<br/>
