Oh good point, the visual math of double-scale is a lot easier to parse. I've slid down resolution as well, and other than the minor annoyance of the screen resize it works perfectly well. Wouldn't mind my native if I could get it, but all in time I suspect. [:)]

I actually think the fix in the beta patch is only set up for the 2x scaling option so far - on my system, no scaling runs fine (but is too small to see at full res), and 2x scaling runs just as well, but the other options - 1.25x, 1.5x, 1.75x - are all equally sluggish and stuttering.

I would LOVE that too.

Also wanted to mention that the 2x fix slowdown fix seems to work great! But the other scaling options are still sluggish - is it possible for whatever you were able to do for the 2x size UI can be done for the 1.5x and 1.25x too?

Wait, right -- if I'm not mistaken, at least some of the Vietnam scenarios use a different tile for "cropland" that looks more like rice patties than the more western farm-y look. I'm not totally sure how it's done, but I think I've seen it in at least one place in-game.

Honestly most of my bombardment attempts do at best 1-3% enemy losses, so I'd...maybe call that an aberration, or at least a situation that may be explained by something under the hood.
