RE: So how are those non-motorized gun units moving?

Must be extremophile domestic animals as I have run into them on worlds where functionally there was no atmosphere. Maybe they are genetically engineered?

RE: So how are those non-motorized gun units moving?

I like this idea, and it works a lot better than them being hauled by hand as that would be super slow.

RE: Zone population and living arrangements

The reason people recommend putting new cities near resources is because one of the main reasons to build a new city is to reduce administrative strain of potentially exploiting said resources.

RE: Tanks should be able to entrench

And with walkers, how would you usefully entrench one? I suppose you could conceal it to get off one ambush, but digging it in? How would that work? I'm picturing a Sentinel from 40k, or like a Battlemech from battletech and honestly can't conceive how one would dig in something like that.

RE: Heavy Tank Fuel Consumption

<t> Are you playing on 1.05? Cause I think there were some tweaks to fuel consumption done. I agree that the numbers still probably need a rework. In the interim I would suggest using rail movement to move heavies to where they need to be. TBH that is actually how most tank units were moved ...

Dunno, is just a guess. Possibly because population can be quite important so you want to conserve it? ::shrug::

RE: Radiation Treatment Center vs. Anti-Radiation Infrastructure

I would suspect you would build the Anti-rad infra if you really need a mine or something on the hex, but the rads are bad enough to kill your workers if you don't have rad treatment.

RE: EuroBlitz Multiplayer Game - [Complete]

<t> Correct me if I'm wrong but AT guns are foot movement right, not truck towed? If so, then a 300mm gun should be immobile as there is no way it is moving at reasonable pace dragged by the people using it. Frankly Arty and At is handled really badly in this game, as sure on a Medusa or Siwa world ...

RE: Unit variation

My point is that at that early stage I am seeing nothing smaller than those sizes. I know it is optimal to use those weapon sizes, which is why the AI is using them, but why have smaller weapons in the game if they are never gonna be used

Unit variation

<t> Dunno if this is where to put this, but something I would like to see is for the AI to have some variation in how it builds its units.<br/>
<br/>
ATM when I enounter an AI light tank it is gonna be a 60mm Howitzer, 25mm armor, and a medium-heavy engine. And all the AT guns are 105mm and all ...

RE: Awesomely insane high pop worlds

<t> Interesting. Something I have seen (anecdotal, but it has been my experience) but when I go for high rainfall the game gen just tends to absolutely coat the world in forests. And the human influence on the planet (colonization phase) doesn't seem to effect the density of said forests. So I have ...

Huh, intersting, because in my previous games I have rarely seen above like 100 million in planet generation. I've mostly been playing on Siwa as well.

<t> What do you mean fourth element of propaganda? As I understand it the firing squad is modeled after NKVD Blocking detachments from ww2 who had the job (and often carried it out) of shooting any retreating troops from the unit that they were positioned behind.<br/>

Well the number the game gave me is 1119.6 Million, which is 1.1196 Billion (I think?). And that is the highest I have seen the game get.

Awesomely insane high pop worlds

<t> So I just updated to 1.05, and the first world I generated (a Siwa class) had 1.1196 Billion people pre-collapse which is the largest I have seen yet. After the collapse it had fallen to 11.46 million which is still insane. It generated 11 majors and 106 minors on a medium planet.<br/>

Plus maybe make At guns more practical to use. So like intigrate them into some formations, and give us the ability to make independent motorized AT formations as a cheaper squishier alternative to TDs

Okay, cool. Thanks for the response. I suspect that this is a feature I would have to start a new game on the patch to get? Not a huge issue, so I will probably finish that save before updating.
