Re: What changes would you want in WITE3?

Great topic!

So, I'd like a WiE (War in Europe) that simulates World War II across all of Europe, including Africa (land, air, and naval ).

And I'd also like more player influence over resources, production, (research,) transport, etc. The graphics could be a bit more military and historically ...

Re: Do you play windowed/full screen, 1/more displays? Why?

I play on a 32-inch monitor in windowed mode (to easily open other programs).

32 inches is good, but I still need glasses to see the details. :(
I've gone through the manual and written down important details as notes.

A to-do list that you can work through each move would be great, so you don't ...

Re: New v1.04.07 Public Beta Now Available!

First of all, thank you very much for the constant improvements to this excellent strategy game. It's great.
One question:
When I load a saved game from v1.04.05 after updating to v1.04.07, the new roads and airfields aren't visible.
When I start a new scenario, everything works.
In both cases, the ...

v1.04.01 Official Update

First of all, I would like to thank the game designers for this good, perhaps even the best, strategy game of WWII.

On the one hand, wite 2 offers the possibility of playing in a somewhat historical way, whereby you have to expect to get a real beating as a Russian at first and as a German later on ...

Re: Quick Questions Thread

ah, ok.
that seems to be the case even with tanks!?
I always thought that from a swamp hex the attack and defense values are very weak and that an attack into a swamp hex gives a big advantage. !?
many thanks.

Quick Questions Thread

Can anyone tell me why the two marked (blue circles) infantry divisions have such different defense values (60 +13).
The individual values, elements, leaders, etc. are almost the same, aren't they?
The photo is from the 1st turn of the 1941 campaign.

Many thanks.

Quick Questions Thread

1. How do I assign a supply priority level directly to an airfield?
In the manual: "Airbases are also assigned a supply priority (from 0-4) by the player."

2. There is never enough capacity for my paratroopers.
Even on a level 3 airfield and lots of transport planes (JU 52) on the same airfield ...

Re: In the German logistics phase, “city to city” takes forever

yes, the first rounds are quick.
In the later rounds, your own logistics phase, especially the freight movements, takes minutes.
but that seems to be normal.
Nevertheless many thanks. ... especially for the excellent game. :)

enemy turn you can see the Russian depots and factories

I'm playing the German campaign 1941.
In the enemy turn you can see the Russian depots and factories,
even though fow and motion fow is turned on.
Furthermore, the display does not jump to the hexes in which fights are taking place.
The screen is almost frozen, the sound is ok.

1. Do you have that ...

Non-Steam version of War in the East 2

I own the Steam version of War in the East 2.
I no longer want to constantly log in and be online.
I would like the normal version.
Is there an inexpensive option?
does anyone here have an idea?
I don't necessarily need the physical manual.
Thank you.
