RE: Custom maps

The map files that make up the board are just BMP graphic images and should have no influence on what your PBEM opponent is using for his map. As long as you are both playing a regular or an extended map with the associated scenario, the graphic choice of map does not matter.

RE: Withdrawing allied ships in India

Columbo works well to withdraw ships, esp. the UK contingents, saving that extra 10-14 day trip to Capetown.

RE: Withdrawing allied ships in India

<t> Any level 9 port or any level 7+ Indian port west of Ceylon should work as long as there is no nearby enemy unit or enemy air superiority. The caveat for any ship withdrawl is that the ship has to have no ongoing fire, total ship damage is <99, and each of the individual damage (Sys/Float/Eng ...

<t> Some things I've been doing from a novice learning his way through.<br/>
<br/>
Careful with resource management. Allied forces only get a minimal supply influx per day at both Sydney and Noumea (look at the base to see the amount of oil/supplies per turn) so too many convoys will deplete your ...

<t> Looking to get a feel for how many folks use the modified stacking limits introduced with DaBabes scenarios for other scenarios playing against the AI. I like the concept and was debating installing the file for playing a stock campaign but do not want to inadvertently over-restrict the AI. Do ...

RE: AI Files - Updating your build with the latest versions

<t> Curious. Is it possible to copy the latest 2012 AI variants included in the original main campaign scenario (001) into the updated v5 campaign (100) including making the proper filename changes to the AEIxxx-yy files or are the changes made to the 2016-version of #100 scenario incompatible with ...

RE: Town Capture?

<t> Capturing towns can be done by moving infantry units into the region if the town is unoccupied (i.e. has no garrison). Note that cavalry or partisan units are unable to capture a town.<br/>

To capture an occupied town, you will have to change your units posture from offensive to assault ...
