Seems like that is the34th Tank Div start location; Don't even attack it to keep 'S' Front frozen on Soviet turn 1, got it!
Cheers.

...the hexes that the horizontal line goes through are fine to flip, but nothing below them) you will activate Southern Front.

Yes, I gather that, so Germans can capture along the road/rail lines going through Tarnopol & Proskurov etc, while flipping hexes in the 187 row below that, BUT not ...

It activates if you go east *AND* south of that hex, not OR

Sorry, but I just picked up WITE 2 very recently (experienced WITE 1 SP player) I see the 187,187 hex so:

a) if I move German units down to row 186 &/or move along that row east and 'occupy' hexes in row 187 through ZOC, does that ...

<t> Thanks for replying Montbrun, I but still think that the Romanian 47mm guns are handled weirdly.<br/>

1.) It was a Schneider 47mm M1936 model that the Romanians had L44 not the SA 37 L50 or L53, the Romanian type moved its wheels 90 degrees when deployed giving the crew more protection ...

What is with Romanian 47mm calibre guns esp GC start?

<t> I have been meaning to ask for a very long time about the Romanian 47mm calibre types of guns, both the ATG and the IG.<br/>
<br/>
Why do they start without any 47mm Infantry Guns assigned in their TOE of any of their Divisions? (Since I believe they had obtained their quota of them before the ...

RE: airbase attack battle stats quetion

<t> Also Dave if you look at the tool tip pop-up on the left of your screenie, the 15th SAD Air Base has (32/44) Det 5 and then lists the six air units on the air drome. That 32 is the number of ready aircraft out of 44 total on the air drome. If you count up the number of planes of the six listed ...

RE: Pockets

<t> My advice is to aim to take byte sized pockets in DC Barbarossa, not the grand encirclements like you would do in WITE, unless you are playing a more long and wide swathe strategy, but just don't expect to have your Infantry keep up and hold the pockets. Playing DC Barbarossa from WITE is like ...

Some units get a special bonus to their construction value for the purposes of rail repair, hence they have big impact on RRV, and would be best kept at FBD/NKPS/RR Command (those that contain "R.A.D.", "O.T.", and "RR Construction" get x9 ...

Previously RRV meant nothing <E>:)</E> FBD/NKPS used MP to repair rail, and had them fixed at 16. So even if you have detached all construction units from them, and reduced their TOE to 20% they were as good as before at rail repair. This had to stop ...

Yes in blizzard in particular you will find low ToEs of construction and the FBD will lead to fewer MPs and RRV. So at some level or below some threshold increasing ToEs does help.<br/>

Another one to add to the list - if you set the max ToE for an air base to 50%, it will only get 50% of the fuel it would have got during logistics compared to 100%. So if you put a bomber on an airbase with 50% max ToE, you will be ...

<t> Thanks Telemecus, so for 10 hexes back plus of the soon to be unfrozen only makes sense, so for the frozen Romanians and the German XXXV Infantry Korps (3 of its 4 IDs have only 70 Morale), possibly for the the 1SS MOT Bgd (70 Morale) too for a turn may be, but not for all the near border units ...

Are there negative effects to less than 100% TOE Max settings?

<t> In order to save replacement men & equipment for more important combat units you can set some of your units to less than 100% Max TOE on any non-frozen unit as low as down to 20% for Divisions & Brigades and 50% for HQs & Airbases.<br/>
