Re: Pilot Training and A2A Tactics

Ok, so I'm a bit confused. I know that the RAF has a training HQ somewhere in Lahore (India) in the full campaign. I think squadrons can be assigned to this HQ. However, I haven't heard of training Air Groups or squadrons.

Re: Pilot Training and A2A Tactics

8. What is the CAP radius of aircraft that are set to CAP missions and LRCAP missions?

9. Does changing the altitude of dive bombers have an effect on their bombing accuracy and the same question for torpedo bombers?

Re: Aircraft Special Load

So I made this test scenario in which I placed the Kittyhawk at Karachi and made removed the restrictions from AHQ India so that I could load one of the three air groups at Karachi:

Aircraft Special Load

I try loading air groups on AKVs and the planes get loaded as cargo (they all show as damaged). I've used AKVs in Transport TFs ... and maybe Air Transport TFs.

Doesn't the aircraft special load rule work with AKVs?

I don't understand. What does heavy industry have to do with pilots?

Re: Edit National Average?

Transom helps alot. In several games as the Japanese I have put my experienced pilots there and at around 300 pilots in it or so the avg experience increases. In scenario 1 I have gotten the new pilot avg experience over 50. What does not increase is the number of pilots trained. They may be traine...

Re: FAQ / Info for Newb's

It carries the supplies the unit started with before loading, but not extra supply. You need to assign a squadron to supply transport to get all supply. And the supply numbers you get are very low - 1 or 2 supply per aircraft for the types available at game start. Note that Patrol Aircraft can also...

BBfanboy wrote: Thu Jun 15, 2023 6:27 pm Fuel is only needed for ships and Heavy Industry. Motor fuel for vehicles comes from supply. Ignore the fuel there, it will flow to where it can be used when you capture a path for it.
What if I want to eventually use this as a small airfield with a fighter squadron or 2?

Fuel supply overland

In a modded campaign, I captured Lang Son in Vietnam with a Chinese Corps. Now I'm sitting with ample supplies but the base only has 77 fuel. Any suggestions?

Pilot Training and A2A Tactics

I'm not new to the game but am certainly discovering new things on this forum (some of which may have changed with patches). 1. In order to coordinate land-based air raids should I or should I NOT set the escorts and bombers at the same altitude? 2. Fighter sweeps set at an altitude of 100 are suppo...
