The elevation layer step panel in the plugin will sample each hex tile with the underlying DEM raster layer to determine an elevation step value. If the map creator needs to change that, they can easily edit that value in the attribute table.

Interesting - my qGIS color selections match the ones in the spreadsheet. I've attached screenshots of my style tab and the individual color definitions; does anything here seem off to you?


It looks like in 'post-processing' the colors are being changed due to the +9 brightness setting ...

If the QGIS settings match the expected input, there might be an issue with the color space of the exported image, perhaps? That could potentially shift the hue.

In the game, Mech Plt's are showing only 2 Squads. They Should have 3.

This is a big disadvantage for the US player as it shorts the Mech Co a Platoon of Soldiers.

This image I located in a 2002 Field Manual and is not historically accurate to 1989.

I'm currently reviewing the American scenarios and this is not an issue that applies to all US scenarios, thankfully.

We will see how feasible it is to update the affected scenarios. Also to note, the doctrine is a best-case scenario and in reality, there were understrength platoons and logistics ...

What is the citation for that source image? Just need to crosscheck. It's been discussed internally, and as Jim said, a fix will be addressed in an upcoming data update.

I noticed this happens during the Replay mode for a Multiplayer game. There are three explosion animations per one kill.

It's not you, it's the data. I encountered this while setting up Rendezvous With Destiny, which is why it uses Chinooks instead.

I added Jira 6818 for Jim to revise the data to address this.

I would like it if the FSCC would stop targeting enemy units in hexes with friendly units, which results in cancelled barrages and wastes the barrages for the turn. What the FSCC does is keep trying to target the same hex, with a continuous loop of targeting and cancelling instead of selecting ...

Thanks for the additional reports. It's good to identify which scenario, as blond_knight_new pointed out this experience isn't happening for everyone across all scenarios. So we need to replicate and diagnose as a systemic or case-by-case scenario issue.

I've adjusted the SOPs, and thanks to Kevin running a check, identified several WP units whose SOPs did not make sense either. So those are fixed for the next update.

This scenario was reported rather easy for Blue... but with the above changes, might increase the challenge a wee bit.
