Re: Struggling with Bomber Morale in WitW – Need Advice

I was also considering this. Maybe that is the case. In this example although the other Bomb Division made a trip to Leipzig (just 2 hexes away) and they don`t suffer such a big morale hit. But there are so many variables in play it is not easy to pinpoint the exact reason.

Struggling with Bomber Morale in WitW – Need Advice

A new major Let’s Play of mine for War in the West is about to start. I’ve already played through the first 4 weeks and am slowly making progress in the air war phase. Thanks to many contributions here in the forums I’ve already learned quite a lot — though mostly in theory, of course. In practice ...

Re: A few quick questions

Thank you very much. So I know better how to deal with the ports. And of course a very welcomed tip on invasions regarding tanks. Thanks.

A few quick questions

First off, I've found the posts and information about the game here on the forum truly interesting. This is a great community! Before I dive into my first major campaign, I still have a few small questions that I haven't been able to find clear answers to.

Air vs. Naval Interdiction: Is there a ...

Prepared Fallback Positions?

Hi guys,

as I am recently read Red Storm Rising and Team Yankee, I often read about prepared postions behind the first line. So units in trouble they can retrat to that positions. This feature is not in FSCC right? Or is it possible to to tell them where to relocate/withdraw? I suppose not but I ...

Questions Ground Attack / Ground Support

Hi there,
after finishing my first playthrough in WitE2 with over 400 episodes on YT I try to start a new grand campaign in WitW as Allies.
I really need to finally understand the air war side of the game. I've grasped about 50% of how the air war works in War in the East 2 (WitE2) and used a mix ...

Re: Sowjet Supply Baku/Persian Corridor?

We tried to account for this with the NSS in the east that you mentioned. In version 1.02.52 of the game, we added 2 small NSS's in Armenia (so games started with this version or later would have those NSSs). These provide a very small amount of freight each turn, and prevent units there from ...

Sowjet Supply Baku/Persian Corridor?

In my running Let's Play-Series with the normal GC41/Axis (normal difficulty) I am now in August 1942 and 1. & 2. PzArmies are driving towards Machatschkala and hopefully Baku afterwards. So it is time to ask some critcal questions as I can`t find a final answers.

Is it correct, that Baku is ...

Re: Playing Axis vs AI Soviet on "Normal"

You don't need anything more than naval patrol, recon and air supplies. In singleplayer you can ignore everything else about the air war. For PvP you just need to know how to do air superiority as Axis, and air superiority & ground attack spam as Soviets in addition to the previous missions ...

vinnie71 wrote: Sun Mar 21, 2021 6:28 am Thanks! This is very interesting. The concept of march battalions is quite old and one practiced by quite a number of armies. So this will be limited to Panzer units or are there infantry equivalents?
March battalions were also used by Infantry and other units.

Thank you very much. I definitely missed that detail. That would be a desaster. Good to know. So it looks like I really have to change lots of units/corps/army to the rumanian high command...

Overloading HG South or attaching to Rumanian High Command

Hi Wargamers,

I am about to plan my 1942 spring offensive as Germany in my full campaign. As I am rearranging my army as a whole I am interested about your opinion. Is is better to overlaod HG South or attaching units to the Rumanian High Command to avoid that?

event 14 had a 10% chance to fire each turn after capture but it expired on March 1

Vielen Dank! So from now on I don`t have to wait for them im my Lets Play. They won`t come anymore. Or maybe I just missed them. Do you know if they spawn on the map or do they arrive in the Finland-TB?

Divisions from Finland

Hi Wargamers,

although I read the manual and did some search here at the forum I found no satisfying answer to my question. In my 1941 campaign as germans I took Leningrad by Ocotber 1941. And I know there is this a event triggering the release of finish divisions. According to the manual there is ...

Converting a "Sudden Victory Campaing" in No Sudden Victory?

Hi there,

I hope I can find an answer/solution here.
I am playing the big campaign. Unfortunately with Sudden Victory on. As it is my first try on the campaign I thought this was smart, but it looks like I could achive sudden victory around April 1942.
As I am streaming this campaign and also ...

Is there any video showing how to get this to work. I just cannot get it to happen after the first few turns, tried pretty much everything - its now late 42 and I will be needing it a lot soon, any suggestions welcome. Or advice.

I disagree on this one. Pockets and encirclements are standard procedures well into autumn 1941. And later in Spring 1942.

Re: Aerial Reconnaissance and Detection Level

For me the system actually makes sense. Level 5 reveals the Unit name, unit size and CV will be displayed. This level of information can just be gathered close to the enemy. For example through local patrols, night infiltration with small teams, capturing and questioning prisoners, obtaining enemy ...
