Re: CEC questions

Look in the unit properties with things like airborne refueling type, Night ops capability, etc.

If you're playing with realistic sub comms it's basically modeled via a come to comms depth order.

Re: What info would a sub actually know?

I would suggest playing with realistic sub comms on.

Most submarine comms at depth don't have high data bandwidth. It usually a message to come to periscope depth to obtain a detailed information from something like a LOS SATCOM transmission.

Yes, I believe the Aussie 111s are like the USAF versions and are boom refueling only and cannot tank from the probe and drogue only Aussie tankers.

Boom refueling vs probe and drogue

Re: Pacific Fury 4 - I Come from a Land Down Under 15/2/94

You're probably right. After all, the Fury series is essentially 'the game of the book that might be written sometime' and a lot of it is about the story. Nonetheless, it does take a long time to play, with the performance issues sometimes bringing my machine to a complete stop and the bugs don't ...

Re: Pacific Fury 4 - I Come from a Land Down Under 15/2/94

It's been awhile since I played this but there does appear to be some bugs with scoring and the Indonesians. I don't recall what the Papuans are up too specifically. However, I have always viewed this scenario as one of the Fury scenarios where you really aren't supposed to win or do well period. It ...

Re: AGM-114L Hellfire will not auto-fire from AH-64D (auto allocation ignored) / Build 1706 DB3K_512

I think I can work with it now that I know a workaround. The question is, does this qualify as a WAD?

I don't think this is WAD based on the closing comment when anti-air capability was added from my DB ticket.

"The AGM/RGM/MGM-114Ls are now capable of hitting air targets below 16000ft and ...

Elementary question warning:

When does daytime begins and ends in the game? This is relevant for some aircrafts that they cannot operated during night time, but I did not find anything specific in the manual

My experience in historical scenarios is that the sim is generally in line with ...

Re: Pakistan shot down an Indian Rafale from ~200 km using a Chinese PL-15 missile

It's not just the Pakistanis making these claims, the Indians are giving confirmation of longer range capabilities of the missile. Quoting from the Reuters article linked in the DB request on GitHub the Indians themselves indicate the missile was fired from a range greater than 200km and that pilots ...

Re: Pacific Fury 3 - Caught Flat Footed 13/2/94

I personally liked the insurgent subplot and personally in my head canon assumed the attacks completed in scenario were those that ground forces failed to stop and that other ground actions are taking place around the country we don't know about. We only see what impact us as the player.

Re: Why is my AAW strike engaging other targets?

I had ruled that out because the enemy planes don't seem aware of them - the enemies don't face them, no missiles are fired at them, and if I (reload the save and) order them to hold fire, they fly unmolested all the way to the target.

Maybe it could be possible that they think they're being ...

Re: Why is my AAW strike engaging other targets?

Hi,
I'm doing one of the tutorial missions, and I have an AAW Strike targeting an enemy AEW.
I'm using F22s, with the intention that they fly in stealthily past/behind the enemy fighters and take out the AEW.
However, they keep just shooting the first target that comes close.
I've set a strike ...

Re: Renewed Request to Manually Dump Ordinance

So a couple of thoughts. I know this would depend on the ordinance onboard (I'm not sure they would just dump a GBU-57) some Mk.82s sure.

Also. I haven't looked but can the MOP be BOL'd, to manually fired to simulate not knowing the BDA of the strike immediately.

Re: What CMO scenarios lack

I disagree. If CMO is a "simulation" then it has to simulate the reality. High traffic waterways are the choke points of global conflict and dealing with them are an absolute reality.

Its like a "simulaiton" that grants unlimited ammo and planes with unlimited fuel. Not a simulation at all, just ...
