Re: Should biologics/false contacts always be added in scenarios that have submarines?

I think historical events in the Falklands show biological and false contacts as valid scenario elements, especially for scenarios set in past decades. The RN expended prodigious amounts of ASW ordnance on not-actual-submarines.

Re: Questions Regarding LRDR, SBX-1 and GBI's

I had thought GBIs weren't designed for ICBM interception, but IRBM and the like.

Wiki entry cites designed for ICBM intercept as well as test interceptions.

Re: Aircraft Damage model: is it too forgiving?

While there's always room for improvement, I'm sure the devs have modeled this feature based off of real data and input from subject matter experts. Hopefully they can shed some light for the edification of users based on your query.

For self defense settings the enemy unit just needs to be within the self defense range set in WRA.

If you're playing with realistic sub comms it's basically modeled via a come to comms depth order.

Re: What info would a sub actually know?

I would suggest playing with realistic sub comms on.

Most submarine comms at depth don't have high data bandwidth. It usually a message to come to periscope depth to obtain a detailed information from something like a LOS SATCOM transmission.

Yes, I believe the Aussie 111s are like the USAF versions and are boom refueling only and cannot tank from the probe and drogue only Aussie tankers.

Re: Pacific Fury 4 - I Come from a Land Down Under 15/2/94

You're probably right. After all, the Fury series is essentially 'the game of the book that might be written sometime' and a lot of it is about the story. Nonetheless, it does take a long time to play, with the performance issues sometimes bringing my machine to a complete stop and the bugs don't ...

Re: Pacific Fury 4 - I Come from a Land Down Under 15/2/94

It's been awhile since I played this but there does appear to be some bugs with scoring and the Indonesians. I don't recall what the Papuans are up too specifically. However, I have always viewed this scenario as one of the Fury scenarios where you really aren't supposed to win or do well period. It ...

Re: AGM-114L Hellfire will not auto-fire from AH-64D (auto allocation ignored) / Build 1706 DB3K_512

I think I can work with it now that I know a workaround. The question is, does this qualify as a WAD?

I don't think this is WAD based on the closing comment when anti-air capability was added from my DB ticket.

"The AGM/RGM/MGM-114Ls are now capable of hitting air targets below 16000ft and ...

Re: Pakistan shot down an Indian Rafale from ~200 km using a Chinese PL-15 missile

It's not just the Pakistanis making these claims, the Indians are giving confirmation of longer range capabilities of the missile. Quoting from the Reuters article linked in the DB request on GitHub the Indians themselves indicate the missile was fired from a range greater than 200km and that pilots ...
