RE: undetectable facilities b998.7

I do notice that some bunker targets cannot be detected. I thought that was a feature since bunkers are buried underground, and did not report that.

RE: 9.2.8 MY @#%@#% WEAPON WON'T FIRE

<t> Unit not firing into no-nav zone is annoying given the stupid(sorry for the rude wording but it is by all mean incapable of SOME vital tasks) aircraft AI. I see the "LEGAL definition" of no-nav zone is that "you cannot fly into this part of map or we are going to have problem with our not-so ...

[Logged] Weird behavior of AttackContact() function

<t> When I use the "mode = 0" (automatic engagement) of AttackContact() function, I am expecting exactly same outcome as "selecting unit(s)-press F1-select target(s)", but there are two major differences:<br/>

1. Assigned units does not turn to 'Engaged Offensive', and player needs to ...

RE: [Save Required] Armour ratings in Weapon Release Authorisation

Here is a save. Z-10 equipped with 12.7mm machinegun is up against M60 (Medium armor)/ AAV-7 (Light armor)/ infantry (no armor). You can F1 them to see how helicopters behave.

[Answered] Problem regarding engagement logics

<t> 1. SEAD PATROL mission goes for "EMISSION", not "SAM/AAA site" themselves. That is, planes assigned to SEAD mission will not automatically attack MANPADS and other AA facilities without emission, even if they are explicitly identified. <br/>

2. Both tanks (medium armor) and IFVs (light ...

RE: dumb bomb dispersion modelling problem

I see what is going on, but I really think this behavior should not apply to unguided rockets. Rockets are fired in a more straight path and should be centered around target no matter how many is pulled off.

RE: Stickied thread for minor database issues?

<r> With that said, I did count the bomb dropped. There is ~15 bombs in the air, 6 on left outer wing rack and 4(?) on right outer wing rack, and it adds up to roughly 24. As for why this plane throws these precise bombs in a carpet bombing pattern (like F-15E using unguided bombs), I can only ...

<br/>
Please consider adding smaller precision guided munition to Chinese aircrafts.<br/>

[Logged] AddUnit function changes input causing problem

<t> When input a barebone unit selector-name, type, side, position, dbid- in the function ScenEdit_AddUnit, the function autonomously fill the unit selector with information from spawned unit, especially guid, which will prevent me from spawning another unit with the original unit selector. Every mount of Chinese Ground to Ground missile has reload speed of 1s with very few exceptions. It should be fixed somehow.

Should "Airfield" be a specific land cover type?

RE: How do you hit something (anything) with dumb bombs?

<t> Let's go for conclusion. <br/>
Bombs and rockets strictly follow normal distribution in calculating their distribution, but the distribution peak is at "30% off" (that is, 300m at 30000ft and 30m at 600ft.) instead of "on target". As a result, the hit rate of generic bombs against 5*5 target is ...

I just ran a test. The ENTRANCE does not affect the in/out traffic of sheltered aircraft. aircrafts goes directly from their host facility to runway access point. You may need to LUA for this.
