How come I can get indirect fire from mortars and T30s but not M7s that are on the map. Mortars do not even have radios.

Why do I have trouble getting the gunner to man the machine guns on half tracks in Avanti ? the only way I seem to get them to man the guns is by dismounting and remounting.
