Do you happen to know what version of DW2 you started the game with?

Old implementations of certain Nebulas depleted shields (faster than they could recharge) at that point the shields could no longer protect against Ion effects. If this makes any sense.

The reactors have capacitors and I think are required in order to save 'static energy'. They have a maximum power per second and is the ceiling on power draw. That is how I understand it. You need to have enough energy collection in order to maintain energy in the capacitors in order to service all ...

Colony Armies implicitly garrison their Troops.

The recruitment of Colony Army Troops are not necessarily done at the Army's colony location.

Recruitment and Army assignment priorities are governed by the empire. As of 1.3.0.4 there are attack and defense troop policies that affect Garrison levels ...

And I forgot: yes, I think we're on the same page as to what we want to see simplified. And yes, some of it could be done with the current system. But I think that "actual" armies could simplify things even further (ie: less tedious)... at the cost of more work for Elliot ;)

As said its simple. I want ships not in fleet for special reasons (guarding, hunting solo merchants in war etc). in lategame i often build 200 or 300 Destroyers or Cruisers at once for this reason. as for now you can have them only manual or full automation on start..if you go full auto they do ...

Hi all,
got the DLC, played a game and had Boskara as immediate neighbors.
They got freakin' 36% to over 50% growth rate on their planets.
Heck I am just bombarding one of their planets and its still growing by 33%.
Are these numbers off, or plausible? I am slightly puzzled, and can't remember ...

Just a quick note that there are basic construction resources constantly being consumed at colonies based on population. For sure Steel is one of them. So even if your empire is not building or retrofitting anything there will be consumption.

Larger Construction ships could also be made to have more resource capacity and hence be able to build the larger stations, this could be another method of regulating an empire's advancement. There are fewer stations/orbital-ships' roles that can be built by Construction ships than in Distant Worlds ...
