You are doing a very bad job at presenting your game when you use such low resolution images.
When you see only this images, without experience of the high resolution images that were released earlier, the game just looks very bad.

They didn't "just started closed beta testing". They have been at it for more than 5 months, just look at the "Distant Worlds 2 Beta Recruitment Now Closed" thread.

Is there any higher resolution recordings of the stream available?
Watching this 720p stream on a 4K monitor makes it extremely blurry...
