Re: The World at War ELO Tournament

What is funny about my game with Elvis. While I have not played for 2 years I did not know about the strategy of allies attack against Italy NA from Tunis in early game (now I have read AAR and know that it is not first time used). So I had no plans or ideas to counter it. Just moved bombers and ...

Re: Taifun (Axis) v EarlyDoors (Allies)

Bavre, thank you! You actually played very good tactically. Especially the fleet. By the end of our game allies had total sea superiority with only 1 Jap carrier left. I did not lost the sea for about a year to anybody but Fanfir and you. And diplo gambit in the begining of the game was quite ...

Re: The World at War ELO Tournament

The 1943 scenario game (not ELO) also ended. by the allies victory. With Beriand as allies. Germany was dead Fall 1946 with Japan just surrounding because of morale fall. If not morale allies had no time to take Jap islands.

Nothing especially interesting to describe. The scenario is too in favor ...

Re: The World at War ELO Tournament

Hamburgermeat (axis) lost to DmitryN (allies) Hamburg just have not returned the turn December 1944 after few turns made in one month real life.

The game was interesting enough to be described.

Hamburgermeat tactically is fast the same as Fanfir, his strikes are awesome don’t know how they reach ...

Re: How long can you pause a PBEM game?

my game with Hamburgermeat lasts already more than 1 year of real life. for some reason even if he respond a turn later than in 30 day the game automatically dont show him resigned (e.g his last turn was July 14 now 45 days)

Re: The World at War ELO Tournament

3 games in 1942 scenario (not ELO) ended. All the 3 games won by Axis.
I played as axis against Jackmack and Firstends both resigned winter 1943/44 with USSR surrendered/1-2 turns to surrender. I played the same scenario as allies against Fanfir and resigned May 1944, in much better condition with ...

Re: opponent required

As my both 1942 scenario games went not so much in favour of allies as I initially thought, let me also try as axis 1943 scenario in which any any level opponent is required. Normal 1939 scenario with me as axis is also still open for experienced opponent. Both passwords are 1234

Re: The World at War ELO Tournament

Jackmack (allies) lost to DmitryN (axis)

Quite unusual game to be described.

Allies invested everything in defending France and made it quite efficient killing 3-4 german units including 1 tank. In the same time allies tried to attack NA both from Egypt and Tunis. I understood that Tunis city is ...

Re: opponent required

OK I have accepted the Axis Hight Tide 1942 Game. You and I haven't played each other in a long time.

I agree the High Tide scenario is set up well for the Allies, BUT the Axis player moves first and knows where all the opposition units are, so it is usually carnage for a few turns. Some of the ...

posted 2 games:

usual ELO 1939 campaign with me as axis. Only experienced opponent required

1942 scenario with me as axis. Any player is welcome.

Both password 1234

Let me explain why is it interesting to play 1942 scenario.

1. Majority of games end 1941-42 as it is clear who win at this stage ...

Re: The World at War ELO Tournament

A stupid question, but alas for me a very topical one: how do I resign? I don't seem to find the button which allows me to do this :D

You have red cross button right of name of the games in main menu.

Again my advise to you. You never can learn how to play axis, playing axis. To understand ...
