RE: Recommendations please

<t> War in the Pacific: Admiral's Edition. I know it looks intimidating at first, but it has a number of smaller scenarios through which you can learn the game: Coral Sea, Guadalcanal, Marianas, etc.<br/>

Now then, now that I've plugged my favorite game (and by far the most interesting ...

RE: New Rich info map

The map looks great. My only suggestion would be to have the option of downloading the same map, but with a darker palette of colors. The current seems slightly too bright for my taste.

RE: Spanking Lowpe (NJP72 vs Lowpe (A))

<t> I think this shows that in a stock game, even with a good Japanese player, an equally competent Allied played can more than hold his own in '41 and '42 and prevent AV. Even after reading the whole thing, I'm not sure what Japan's strategy was. For everything he passed over in the early phase ...

Guadalcanal DBB Scen - Allied Opp wanted (closed)

<r> Hello,<br/>
<br/>
I'd like to get some more PBEM experience under my belt as I learn the system. Is there any interest out there for playing a Guadalcanal scenario game using the DBB version of the scenario? I would like to play the Japanese side and am looking for anywhere between 4-7 turns a ...

RE: Ordering from the Matrix site

It could be a browser related issue. For the record, I'm using Firefox. Who knows? I was looking at War Plan Pacific, haven't pulled the trigger on it yet.

<t> PM sent. I am a beginner, with some experience playing vs the AI. I think this means it would work out with you playing as Japan and me playing the Allies. I'd prefer DBB-C or one of the various BTS alternate history mods. If you need help, I could setup the mods myself and get it working on ...

RE: Gal Civ IV announced

Gal Civ II was great, Gal Civ III was somewhat of a train-wreck. Here's to hoping the next edition is more like II, which was a phenomenal 4x game.

RE: Lets talk tea... again.

<t> I always drink black tea made using tea bags and water from a hot water tap on my sink (kettles are for barbarians!). I then add milk, sometimes oatmilk, to my tea, ALWAYS. Doesn't matter what variety of black tea(breakfast, earl grey, etc.), I use milk. Tea without milk is an atrocious affront ...
