Re: New Game?

The short answer is yes. The longer answer is I don't know how soon but it seems reasonable to have (at least) one DLC which is oriented towards the "barbarians" themselves.

That's great to hear there is at least some interest in making certain barbarian factions playable. And I am sure the ...

Re: New Game?

Amazing the level of details we got here and love that the art used for this game still draws heavily from Hannibal.

I got one question: do you think it would be possible to have a scenario (as part of a DLC maybe), where we play as the Gothic kingdom of Italy shortly before the start of the Gothic ...

Re: New Game?

I think the way that one would "rescue" Britain would be to prevent the collapse of Roman government in the West...

I agree 100% with this and your other points.

To answer Nepos96's question: the 395 scenario is not a "become sole Emperor" scenario. You will gain/lose points for territory held ...

Re: New Game?

The level of attention to the administrative side of managing an empire/army is simply astounding. Looking forward to more screenshots this weekend.

And thank you for your answer!

As always, thanks for your kind words! :D

And thank you for making the game I've been waiting someone to ...

Re: New Game?

Hi mercenarius,

I hope you are ok.

Do you have any update for us about the development of the game? Some cool screenshot/feature to share? :D

Re: New Game?

Well, I don’t know how the game exactly works, but I think players should be able to pick a side during a civil war and keep playing even if they lose. But if they picked the wrong side they should suffer some penalties (if there is a scoring system they should lose points for example). That way ...

Re: New Game?

That is intriguing, almost a second game within the game. A survivor mode would probably be my favourite and most played scenario. Keep up the excellent work!

Re: New Game?

First off, many thanks for your kind words! And we're glad to hear that you got your first victory.

Yes, Orm deserves a reward for his continuing interest and commentary! All of the old "Hannibal" players do, really.

You asked a fair question about play balance. I certainly did skew things a ...

Re: New Game?

Truthfully, it doesn't look as if the game can be released to the public before next Summer. That really stinks and I am sorry that you and others have waited so long for a new game from me. :(

Well, let's look at it this way: we now know that one year from now we will finally be able to ...

Re: New Game?

This is a nice little feature to see implement. However I want ask, will it also work properly for the late Roman units, especially with twin units bearing the same name (only distinguished by a Iuniores or Seniores)?

Re: New Game?

This is honestly amazing, the level of detail of this game and the amount of decisions we can take. Hannibal was already great in itself despite being a fraction of this new game. I am not kidding when I say that this could be the greatest game about ancient/late Rome ever released. I see myself ...

RE: New Game?

<t> This is so beautiful to read, I love that focus on the later empire and that grand campaign (400 years, 1600 turns) seems ambitious and like it is going to keep me entertained for a long while, especially if it keeps throwing enemies at me (I guess it will be a sort of survival mode).<br/>

RE: New Game?

<t> That is good news. Since you mentioned a V century scenario among many, both conquering supreme power and then trying something like restoring the empire and cleaning the mess would make for a very fun game. I can't wait to see more ( and play it).<br/>
Not really concerned about multiplayer ...

<t> Really like what I am reading. Especially that the big guys are all playable. And really curious to see what scenarios you are going to include in the game (especially the long ones). Maybe more could be included later on through DLCs if the game proves successful. Is there any faction in any of ...

RE: New Game?

<t> This is quite interesting, a cool “defection” mechanic. Reminds me a bit of Alea Jacta Est civil war scenarios. So basically, killing Quintilius is not enough to put an end to the civil war as some armies may keep fighting under another usurper (or join another preexisting faction I guess). I ...

Just found out this little gem and now I can’t wait to play it. Hopefully we will soon get more info about a potential release date. I wish you good luck with the development of the game.
