Re: Randomize Scenario Start Time/Date

Thanks for your response - sorry I'm so long responding. ScenEdit_SetTime(new_time) works well. I just want to make a couple of notes for those who may use this route:

1) Randomizing time start does mess with zero_time in the scenario. If you're tracking events over time, you'll have to use actual ...

Randomize Scenario Start Time/Date

<t> Greetings,<br/>
<br/>
I'm building some scenarios so I can run them via Monte Carlo mode maybe 10 times and then look at the results to see how events unfold. I have two questions:<br/>
<br/>
1) Is it possible to randomize the starting time/date of a scenario? I'd like to have time variation ...

Missing Unit causing error

<t> Hi Everyone,<br/>
<br/>
So I have a function which executes random direction changes for a variety of units. It's set to occur every 15 minutes. The problem I'm having is that as units are destroyed (as they tend to do in these games), the script errors out if a unit no longer exists.<br ...

RE: Question on some functions showing up in the Lua Console

It is Professional Edition, v2.03.6 - I'll do some experimentation and see what I can work out on it. Thank you!

Question on some functions showing up in the Lua Console

<t> Hi everyone,<br/>
<br/>
Sort of full of questions these days... Scrolling through the list of functions available in the Lua script tool, I notice that there are several functions included which are not defined in the Command Lua Docs site.<br/>
<br/>
I'm looking to create a countdown of ...

RE: Sensor Time-delay

<t> Thank you all for your feedback... I have many ideas running through my head. <br/>
<br/>
I do have a question, if you turn off comms and then turn them on again - but your detection unit is mobile (think Airborne, Ship-born, or Satellite), you may be missing a bunch of detections missed ...

Sensor Time-delay

<t> One of the things I love about CMO is the vast array of items one can use in constructing scenarios.<br/>
<br/>
One of the things I hate about CMO is that sensor responses are instantaneous. If I have a radar on a hill, the entire side will know any detections instantly. If a satellite detects ...

RE: Feature Request: EO Satellite target viewing

<r> So yeah - P Gatcomb's tutorials are amazing. I agree 100%! The one you cited is great for learning how to detect from an aerial perspective (wouldn't we all just love to have a fleet of SR-71s to help us out in a small air campaign!). It's really good for that. However, as you noted, even for ...

Feature Request: EO Satellite target viewing

<t> I wasn't sure where to put this, but I've been examining how satellites work in the game. One of the elements of interest is the ability to follow the 'ground-track' of a satellite as it moves through the scenario.<br/>
<br/>
For SAR or radar-based satellites, one can use the Surface Sensors ...
