i would guess that placing millions of people on a planet would have bigger mining rate than a few houndred in a space station controlling drones.

-press 1... move them closer to the planet (more targets for the beam defence)

i had something similar...
was at war with the boskara.
invaded one of their colonies that they invaded from independants before the war.
declared peace once i took over the colony.
and a few days after a colonyship from them arrives and is loading up teekans even though its not their colony anymore ...

1913 autobuilder adds "increased elevation" to ships when i cant

i noticed that the auto ship designer somehow adds "increased elevation" to the turrets even thought is grayed out for me.

i noticed something else "weird" with my exploration ships in my last game in the early game.
i think after a retrofit (?) a lot of them conga lined to the same asteroid belts... as if they dont mark the location they go to -"hey i scan this place you go elsewhere" ... and all 15 or so out of 30 in ...

-research station has their large sensor on the side and not ontop.

saw that in this game the "enhanced slavery" research is ontop of the "planetary governance" research. (maybe caused by the random research tree?)

or use dedicated "bombardment ship designs" just in their invasion fleets... and all other fleets ship designs use no/less bombardment weapons.
IF the ai can understand that it can build multiple different designs now with the new ship designer and fleet designer.
and CAN make speedy raid ...

I think we should be able to ban Racial technology from the uncontrollable Civil Fleets.
If you put it on a freighter, that Z4 Shield has a high chance of ending up in enemy hands. Either as Capture or Debris.
And it would also help with issues like these.

But only after the pass that makes ...

dhayut race specific victory condition:
assassinate the leader of each (remaining?) major faction once.

ikkuro race specific victory condition: colonize every type of planet. or have every type of planet colonized and at quality xx% (50%+ 80%+ 100%+ no idea how "easy" it is with all the ikkuro ...

in general would a ship editor come in handy


in theory they could even use the "ship designer" screen. edit it a bit, add more functions to it and use that as a base for a mod ship editor.

like buttons to load a shiphull, load ship model file, set what race design the modules should be (i.e ...

maybe a button somehow in that bottom system panel that lists planets and ships that are in the system at some zoom levels.
and when set to "dangerous" ships will avoid it /escape out of it.

maybe something like we had back in DW1 could be usefull...
where you can set in the auto designer what components you want to priotize. (atleast i am pretty sure something like that existed in dw1)

so the ai empires could have these priorities kinda randomly generated per empire and per game ...

its pretty cool to see that the spy escaped in an escape pod somehow years after failing a mission and then got picked up by someone else. (might also be total coincidence that it happend that way.)

i wonder whats so different between colonizers+planets compared to constructors+bases, if its a problem with colonizers.

i mean:
lets say we got 6 colonizers and we assign 6 planets to colonize.
and we have 6 construction ships and we assign 6 bases to be build.

if all 6 construction ships manage ...

I actually build ships with extra engines, these ships do add both tactical and strategic value to your tactics.

I also use many different hull types of the same class, I just use one per fleet as you can only designate one ship of each class to a fleet but different fleets can have different ...

Moving a bit farther into military operations, I'm also rather disappointed in the ship options. I understand that you want to provide variety and are using the expanded roles to provide some nudges for players to build ships to do certain things, but these nudges just never really seem to be that ...
