For calculations, Private Economy never has to pay for what it mines itself.
But it does have to pay to what it buys elswhere.

How do you conduct trade with independent colony? We both are in range, have luxury resources to exchange and a free trade agreement, but freighters just won't visit.

I have noticed that after freighters pick up salvage from space, the resources from their cargo holds just vanish after they receive a new mission. 1 sec later... Exploration ship can also pick up resources from space even if they have 0 cargo space.
