@mordachai Couldn't agree more about the impossibility of "balancing" all weapons. I wholeheartedly agree that the real goal is that there is some viability to all choices depending on strategy. No dead end lose traps. No single auto win only correct option.

@Akicebear... the early techs in the mod are much cheaper than vanilla, and the late techs are more expensive. Keep that in mind when trying to perceive the impacts of "slower research". Maybe start a game with the mod deactivated on level 7 research, check an end research time for a level 8 ...

BUG: There is a FTR stealth component (size 5, I space stealth sheath 20% and 25% version) which is usable on starbases in the current 1.1.0.6 build, but other than that a completely flawless playthrough. Very enjoyable.

QUESTION: Are you in process on a weapon balance pass? That one section alone ...

1.1.0.6 is the best build released thus far, in my experience. Full game from start to finish and not a single crash.

Scott, when you check DW2>data>logs for the most recent crashdump file, what is the reason for your crash? (big picture)

I am having an unavoidable crash due to "determine stock levels" out of bounds, for example, in 1.1.0.3 with XL mod Steam Workshop, but I can't confirm if it's just the beta or ...

Tried going back to an earlier autosave and manually designing without ever using an Energy to Fuel converter before the research completed.

Game still crashed at about the same timestamp of played time.

Same error "determine stock levels".

Same crash. Unavoidable and game ending once it has occurred. This crash seems related to Energy to Fuel converters and stock level interaction somehow. I had just upgraded starbases to use this component. For the record, I'd be fine with making Starbases not ABLE use reactors at all (only energy ...

In the current DW2-XL 1.8.3 compatible build v1.6.1, it is possible to get the Inertialess Thrusters Artifact, which gives the Inertialess Thruster Technology for research (even though all other thrusters are removed from the tech tree). OK, so I can't possibly be certain if it's a version 1.0.2.8 thing, or a problem with the modding methodology itself.

I can start a new game. I can save and load a new game. I can exit the program and reload that newly saved game.

However, my 12 hour play session... none of my savegames will load ...

Mod program works great.

Verified 10 static energy colony modules, bonus income from admin, constructors x 2 work.

Engines, and reproduction rate need a "replace all value() with value" and then they work as well (to conform with the 1.1 syntax changes in the github documentation).

From an AI ship design perspective, seems like
"if ship has 1 engine slot, add one engine"
"if ship has 2 engine slots, add one engine, one thrust component"
"if ship has >2 engine slots, add one engine, one thrust component, do (other necessary things), return here if space for more engines.
