Right I understand what it does. It was also touted as being an aerial dropped version of a torpedo with torpedo-like effects. Now while the effects might be similar, I'm thinking a JDM is a lot easier for air defenses to defeat than a torpedo is to defeat.

And does this variant more difficult to shoot down than a Harpoon for instance? Are there advantages of the weapon because it is more difficult to defeat?

Back in the 80's the AV-8's deployed in parts of Europe were trained to use road tunnels as makeshift bunkers. The idea was they would use these as FOB's and attack Soviet troop and artillery positions. I was trying to model that.

What is the USAF current tactical Offensive jamming aircraft similar to the Growler? I read up and found the F-15X has this ability but not in CNO load outs.

There is the EC-37, but I was thinking there was a tactical version similar to the EF-111 or similar.

In my case I was going up against the S300 and I used two AH-64E.

But I also tried several times with different approach angles. So my losses were significantly higher than yours.

So if we are building scenarios we should avoid the S300/S400 SAMs?

Fundamentally it's all the same thing. You just need to learn how to deploy assets. What you do with those assets might change from one platform to the next but only by the modeling. Learning the mechanics is where I am.
