Why is every single battle a night battle?

While I appreciate a good night battle every once in a while, in my 10 hours so far, I have tallied 55 Night battle and 2 day battle. All my carriers and capital ships run as fast as they can in the other direction while torpedo destroyers do 99% of the fighting. What is causing this?

Re: Northern Fury - Check out the book based on CMANO scenarios

Just out of curiosity.
Even if the scenarios are not updated to the latest DB, the model for the AA missiles range still changes if played with "tiny", doesn't it?

What I mean it's that I still don't get what changes of those being introduced by "tiny" are "core" and what are "DB related".

And I ...

Re: BVR Engagement Logic & Boost-Coast missiles

Question, how is missile burn time in determined in the DB? Is it a formula derived from nominal max range and missile velocity, or is it based on an open source dataset somewhere.

Ex, the AIM-7M in game has a motor burn time of 4 seconds,

Re: Northern Fury - Check out the book based on CMANO scenarios

Out of curiosity, I converted and updated Northern Fury scenarios to Tiny/DB 497a.

I proceeded to get my butt whupped, almost every scenario against the Soviets turned into routs unless the might AIM-54 was available and in large numbers. The NATO advantage in Radar is not a meaningful one with ...

Re: Countdown to War Planner: Simulation Additions & Improvements

Speaking of NEZ for missiles, is it possible to get a NEZ + %margin as a range setting? Playtesting for me indicated that NEZ shots happen at far too low range, while % of range settings is problematic when the opposition is diverse. Ex, technically Mig-31 and Mig-21 are both "3rd gen" fighters ...

Re: Countdown to War Planner: Cargo 2.0 – The Logistician’s Nirvana

OK, my first reaction is Fantastic , my second reaction is 'oh-no' that is a lot of old scenarios that need to be updated...

On the plus side, no more scripting cargo triggers for future scenarios, just include a handful of C-130's with every scenario and let the player shuttle munitions ...
