Thanks for answering.

Character management seems quite important and rewarding, therefore it would not hurt if the algorithm asked the player about this action? Suggest rather than immediately execute?

The game painstakingly asks about every single new mining station to be built, but dismisses ...

Stop spies being auto dismissed

As the topic suggests, is there a way to stop spies being dismissed by the automation algorithm?

I thought I had a decent grasp of the game, but this one thing infuriates me to no end where my best spies just get dismissed without my input.

I can confirm that AI has plenty units and continues to produce more, but is seemingly incapable of moving them away from the city hex.

It seems like a pretty major AI bug in the latest beta

I am not sure if I understand correctly what your problem is.

Have you tried to:
1. left click on the hex where you created a new zone
2. press 'Z'
3. left click on hexes directly adjacent to the new zone hex

If the above does not work, it may be worthwhile to post some photos, maybe it is a bug.

AI deficient in an early game scenario

During my playthrough I noticed that AI was unable to expand their territory at all from the start. The below screenshots are from round 61.

This is likely dictated by the following conditions:

Difficulty: Normal
No starting armies (not sure if this condition affects AI?)
