Sorry, Lothos that port defensive value only applies vs. 'Resource' attacks (via surface ships). So when you removed that ability from surface ships it makes that port defense value ...

I have a thought. When I captured Baghdad, Basra was controlled by me but unoccupied. I got the "Entente liberate Mesopotamia" message, but the next turn I got "Mesopotamia moves capital to Basra". In Arabia I passed through Medina but did not occupy it at the end of the turn. The same thing ...

Currently playing another game as the Entente. I noticed that when I liberated Mesopotamia, the next turn all hexes not occupied by Entente troops reverted to Ottoman control. The same thing happened in Arabia.

Just finished my first playthrough, as the Entente vs. AI CP. Got Entente major victory in July 1918, but it sure didn't feel like it. Maybe that's the way it really felt after the war?

Must say I really enjoyed this! Balkans and Middle East had a lot more going on. AI was also much more aggressive ...

I suspect the issue here is the AI OFFENSIVE scripts instructing the Union AI to invade Canada - I'm fairly sure I never added any scripts to Trent that would push the British to mobilise.

In saying that, it might be easier if you instead cloned the Scott's Great Snake ...

I am trying to edit the Trent War scenario to bring Spain or France into the war instead of the UK. I figured out how to get them into the war, but I cannot figure out how to get the Union to not declare war on the UK at the start of the game. Finished the game. Played as USA. Union Major Victory, 6 May 1864. A few observations:

The USA now gets four brigades, instead of divisions, in the draft. That's a steep FS penalty for four brigades.

Forts are now MUCH tougher to eliminate. Ships, even ironclads, take a lot of damage attacking a ...

Huzzah! I managed to get the mod loaded. Started my first game as USA v. CSA AI.

Played a few turns and noticed a few changes:
No blockade runner hexes.
Forts can be upgraded to ten SPs. Should make port defense a little easier for the CSA.
Indians have max SP of five. I like this change. I thought ...

Uninstalled and reinstalled, now I can at least play the stock scenarios. No luck on mods though.

Still unable to open it, but I can't open a custom scenario I built either. I get the same "permission denied" message.

Perhaps try opening the mod in the Editor first.

When you open the Editor, use the right hand of the two Open buttons (it is blue rather than yellow, and will show "Open User ...

I want to try this, but when I unzipped it into the Campaigns folder there is no .dat file and I get an error message when I try to load the mod.
