I finally got mine to work. I had to close my Avast virus software.
Maybe your anti -virus software is affecting it as well.
Just a thought

Did anyone ever get back to you on a fix? I updated the game with the current patch. And it stopped working.
It did the same as you described. I have installed and uninstalled using different drives. Still the same result. Have you contacted matrix customer support?
