I believe you have it right, and it is not a bug per say. The game does not have enough fidelity in this area of the game to get the desired result you are looking for.

Makes sense, but also feels like changing this to work on a unit type fidelity could be a relatively easy thing to do and give ...

Can't really be done here since Euro & W@W both lack said tiles; while they do have navigable estuaries (which are used in the Suez Canal, Hamburg/Kiel Canal area, and some others), they lack flexibility to allow many different tile combinations and angles.

Now I feel like a dummy. I got 500+ hours in all the Strategic command games combined in my Steam library. And that is not even counting all the time I spent playing Strategic command 1 series.

From what I understand the problem is that sea is not a ground type so it cannot have any movement penalties. It is not on the list:

While I also understand the rationalisation of it, it does give experienced players an unfair advantage over new players, and it isn't intended either. Ideally information should either be given in a more consistent way or not at all ...

A small quality of life feature would be to show Arrival time for units you cannot afford.

Having to go check the manual (or editor if you are using mods) to see the production delay in turns for a unit and then having to calculate that into an in game date to see if tanks you might want to build ...

Hardly, but I don't think it should take 12-14 CV/CVL strikes + 6 DD strikes over 2 turns to sink one either.


I guess the question is should the Allies be able to outright destroy subs or be able to relatively easily force them back to port for repairs and supply.

Title pretty much says it all. Would make Connecting weather zones much less of a chore.

Editing weather chances for multiple weather zones is also quite painful.
Ability to apply changes to multiple weather zones would be a great addition.

In the future, consider chances of more mud, rain and mud/snow in certain areas of the USSR in October and November.

It looks like the game and editor run under the same process on Steam, so attached to the same key, and as a result locking out one from the other when trying to run both at the same time.

So indeed part of the Steam DRM system, unfortunately.


I'm guessing this behavior is not about to change ...
